Everyone has their own opinion I just think MC BR sucks and there has to be an issue that you come into the brakes that hard past seasons it has been very light. I'm not trying to start an argument I'm just stating my opinion
Nah I hear you. No need to apologize, if that’s how you feel about it then that’s how you feel ?

Bums me out because I love that ride one of the best inverts ive ridden MCBR makes me sad i hope they figure it out not unrideable just brace for impact LMFAO

I rode it yesterday and it was flying. It seems to get faster as it ages. The mid course braking station is a bit jarring, but its such a great run, especially from the last row.

Same, I rode it 16 times yesterday, 5 of which were at night(2 back, 3 front), and it was running fast as hell. The back right seat is still the best IMO just because of that ridiculous whip you get on the cobra roll, and it pulls some ridiculous G's

If you ride in the back left seat the ride is smooth but the cobra roll, mcbr, and corkscrew are very whippy

It's gotten rougher over the years but I wouldn't say it's not fun to ride but then again I liked, Shockwave, and Apocalypse and found Hurler tolerable so maybe I not the best person to listen to on this subject.

Yes, the ride is rough in certain seats; however, if ya want the least rough ride possible, go for one of the middle seats in the front row (just specifying this bcuz I was told that the middle was the best and I figured it meant the middle row, which there’s 2 rows in the middle of each train, and I ended up having perhaps one of the worst rides, if not the worst, I’ve ever had on a roller coaster).

There are some things I’d like to warn you abt, tho:

  1. It might or might not be somewhat forceless except for when it’s jerky. I rode it just yesterday and barely even felt any forces being pulled on my body. Also, I only ever yelled smthg loudly after someone else yelled the exact same thing. Apart from that, I felt no urge to rly yell anything. For me, this is odd bcuz I’m usually one of the ppl who would yell a lot on roller coasters, but not on here.
  2. The front row is gonna have the longest line, so you’ll be waiting far longer. This is natural for most roller coasters, tho, so it’s likely you already know this/were suspecting it by now.
  3. Other ppl have already said this, but the MCBR and cobra roll are pretty jerky. The final corkscrew is also kinda jerky.

Overall, if ya don’t wanna wait for a long while to get a smooth ride, will only budge for getting the smoothest & best seat, and you’d like to actually feel some G’s (so basically, if you’re like me), I’d say skip this and ride smthg far superior like Apollo’s Chariot. If you’re fine with not feeling many G’s and don’t mind waiting for a while/ya haven’t ridden it before and would like to get the credit, however, go for it.
I ranked this as #5 on my list of each roller coaster in order of how much I liked it when I rode it yesterday (didn’t ride Tempesto or Nessie, so they’re at the bottom).

Holy shit, this seems more like an entire review of the ride than a simple answer to whether Alpie’s rough or not, which it kinda is. Oh well, I suppose it is like me to ramble on abt things...

Well said. Much like Apollo worthless in the the front your always waiting in my opinion Id say on alp ride the back just brace for impac. (Cobra roll and mcbr) . Still a good ride but the mcbr wtf anyhow I ride and still enjoy it but its become a headache machine. But cant hate to much so forceful and fun. Just pray to the coaster gods That BGW works it out. Dont see it going anywhere maybe retrack a few spots or adjust the mcbr if it not due to issue's in the back half which im not convinced isnt the issue everything is done for a reason supposedly

Rather than build a bunch of mid sized coasters it would be cool if bgw recurved alpengeist and fixed the MCBR. I’d say the cobra roll too but it probably doesn’t make sense to do that cause even with the MCBR you’re probably looking at modifying supports and footers to adjust the forces so you don’t have any shearing from lateral gs.

On my last visit to the park, I noticed Apollo getting rough, not Alpengeist. The MCBR and cobra roll have always done a little surprise and the zero-G roll is anything but, with a lot of centrifugal force towards the outside on the outside seats. Also all the inner seats after row 2 have no visibility and generally front row is up to twice as good as any other row except 2. I can get into a B&M invert in seats further back after a good front-ish row ride but somehow they don't usually click with me otherwise. I don't see how the outer seat forces in the corkscrews could have changed, but with an older neck I tend to be thankful for the extra braking, although the drop after the MCBR was only really great in the first or maybe second season. The additional braking is only really bad in that who wants to feel brakes at all on a coaster.

To reduce the forces in the corkscrews, they'd have to be stretched out, such as making 1 where there was 2, or something even more difficult.

I think it's great BGW has added some mid sized coasters. If I go to a park often, I like there to be a means of varying the visits, such as not riding a coaster, which I'm not usually going to do if there is only 5 decent coasters in the whole park. When KD had 13, it was almost inevitable.

I like your idea of varying visits we need more intense flat rides half the time I go they're not even operating DaVinci's cradle which I love

Habitually starting roller coaster names with definite articles, regardless of whether or not it makes any sense to do so, irritates me far more than it probably ought to.

I saw this on Instagram and it’s the coolest picture of Alpengeist I’ve ever seen.
