They also painted the guy, the (remaining) snow, and replaced all the flags, I really hope they can make the area look beautiful again. They should also probably replace the zip tie skis

It looks more "icy," so I can somewhat see what they were going for, but it also looks much more bland and boring.

Feels very much to me like a situation where somebody looked at two pantone colors on their computer and didn't give a ton of thought to how it would look actually applied to the structure.

Having looked at them in person from Grimms Landung, I actually think the real problem (ironically) is Griffon at this point.

I don’t actually like the specific shade of blue they used for Alpie’s supports, but in my opinion, ice/snow colors make more sense for a coaster themed to skiing than a mythological lion/bird. I understand the visual constraints and why Griffon needs to blend in with the sky, but if I am being completely absolutist, I’d rather see them repaint Griffon more appropriate colors.

Since Griffon can’t be orange/yellow/brown, I do have to agree that the new Alpie supports are unfortunate.

I’m repeating myself, but I really do think the green support colors were intended to give some sense of forest/vegetation when that hollow was cleared for Alp’s construction.

The ice-blue color, in photos anyway, seems to confirm that the green actually worked pretty well for that purpose.

SEAS has created a new “system” for park maintenance, hence why everything is being painted, they finally are going though the list that was so backed up, there was so much being planed at BGT (repainting the entrance, that started) and essentially completely rebuilding adventure island (almost done). As for everything in BGW I assume they have a similar plan.

Interesting. So we may see more repaints and such coming before long, as well as hopefully parks getting parking lots repaved (or in Scotland/Bavaria’s case, paved for the first time)?

I don't know about an anniversary celebration, but the new color would be right at home at a gender reveal party.
