The worldwide invert inversion record is only 7. That's beatable.
8 inversions would likely require either a big, lengthy ride or multiple lifts/launches. A compact 8 inversion rise would end up either being gimmicky or a nauseating ride for many.

Or a shuttle coaster with four inversions, which would be an even bigger gimmick. That said, I've always liked the Invertigos better than the regular boomerangs, especially with their face-off seating, so maybe a super Invertigo with a more out-and-back layout wouldn't be so bad. Make the lifts vertical, and we might be talking.

After the recent announcement of Six Flags America's closure, I looked over their attraction lineup (just like everyone else). There are three rides at SFA that I think KD would greatly benefit from; none are roller coasters. Here's my wish list:
  1. RipQurl Blaster (water coaster for Soak City)
  2. SteamWhirler (Nebulaz for OV or CAG)
  3. Capital Railways (railroad)
Each of these fills a significant hole in KD/Soak City's lineup. Thoughts?

Where would the train go?

A water coaster would be great for soak city.
How thrilling is a nebulaz? They look so pointless

NebulaZ is a cool concept but falls short in so many ways. It’s not even that thrilling aside from a small hint of floater as you fly over the top, and the load times take FOREVER
I noticed that at carowinds. Everytime i walked by it it was loading. I never saw it operating lol and i spent 2 days at the park and probably walked by it 6 times. Seems like such a wack gimmick ride.

Good question! KD doesn't have a transportation ride (skyride, train, etc), so it simply fulfills a need. It would be good fan service/throwback too; they used to have train.

I would imagine they could simply acquire the engine/cars and build new rails to go wherever they wanted. However, there's a reason this was number 3 in my list; I think the first two choices (the water coaster and Nebulaz from SFA) are perfect fits.

Nebulaz are more of a family ride. I really enjoyed my ride at Carowinds. They provide light floater air and they're visually impressive if themed well. They're not intense, just fun!

Nebulaz provide an important role to park lineups. Sure they aren’t super thrilling to some, but is to others. I’m just curious which park will put in 2-3 at the same time themed together to they can cycle the operations.

I thought I’d share just a random thought that popped into my head.

With KD likely closing the Skyflyer/GoKarts, and the closed attractions in Planet Snoopy, there’s quite a lot of room for new coaster development. Six Flags has been working with Vekoma quite a bit lately, and Siren’s Curse has opened to overwhelmingly positive reviews from what I’ve heard. So, could KD get a kind of package deal with two smaller scale Vekomas over a few years, with a compact family boomerang going in Snoopy and a smaller thrill coaster in Skyflyer/GoKart plots (which is surprisingly large when I looked at Google Earth and has a ton of potential if viable for a coaster)?

Personally, a huge Vekoma top hat going out towards the path where Skyflyer is now, and then diving back into the woods again afterwards would look/feel awesome. It would be a great spectacle. Plus, a forceful, airtime-filled launch coaster from a non-Intamin manufacturer could help KD compete with Busch Gardens.

Again, totally 0 basis for this idea, and maybe there’s already plans for these plots that I don’t know of. But just my thoughts!

I love the idea of doing a Vekoma package deal for a family coaster in Planet Snoopy and a thrill coaster in Old Virginia. Could kill two birds with one stone.

My two cents is they should go for the Vekoma hyper in Old Virginia since I think it would use the DA plot very well, and have some flat rides replace the Skyflyer and go-karts. I don’t know if this will happen exactly but I can dream.

KD needs a hyper imo. A sirens curse is to close to i305 in my opinion. It's pretty intense and whippy
