Well. If we are talking rumors.. Ill say this rumor. Siebert put in his resignation earlier this week. He wants to keep his family in San Antonio and will not be moving to one of the parks on that list. Just rumblings and have not confirmed this.

There are also rumblings of two parks that are being heavily pursued by Herschend, Dorney Park and Fiesta Texas.

Rumors. word of mouth. nothing confirmed.
Dorney??

If there's one thing I'd rather own Dorney other than legacy Cedar Fair or Harris Weinstein, it's Herschend, so I've got no complaints here (aside from potentially losing the joint Season Pass).

Edit: Also, perhaps this should be spun off into its own thread? Thanks Zachary!

At this point? Yeah this might need a separate thread

Really hoping if the Dorney/Fiesta rumor is true, Herschend might take an interest in SFNE. I feel like SDC/Dollywood/Fiesta would make a solid trifecta of southern(ish) "regional destination" parks, and if they buy Dorney, they might as well go all out on becoming the Trolley Park Company as far as their operations in the northeast go

Something that I had really not considered but quite like the sound of is Herschend becoming the largest US regional park operator and Six Flags becoming a slightly more minor player, at least in terms of park quantity. And I have faith that if that occurred, Herschend would bring the quality.

Really, I'd just love to have a chain focused on long-term growth and quality be dominant opposed to having to appease shareholders each quarter.

Look, I don't know what's going on, but I do imagine that if I were Six Flags and I had parks under sale negotiations, I probably wouldn't go working to recruit top talent to lead said theoretically-for-sale parks. And if I were going to propose a list of parks Six Flags should sell if they're looking to offload more assets to pay down debt, the list of parks without park presidents announced today certainly would look a lot like my list. Just sayin'.

oh... I don't like that... I'm gonna ask them to wait until 2028. I wanna see how they handle what they have first

This probably should be another thread of its own… but would it hurt for KD to be part of that deal too? They seem to regularly be getting the shaft under the new SF company.

The only thing is that I’d hate to see KI and KD separated.

100% that this needs to be a new thread, but also Kings Dominion should be part of this deal as well if they aren’t seen as a key park, but who else could be sold?
