Here's today's hint! I can't quite make anything out yet, but I'm highly suspecting the Singing Mushrooms. If Kings Dominion actually does end up bringing back some form of the Singing Mushrooms, I may be tempted to literally throw money at it... I am extremely excited to see Kings Dominion get its charm back next season, whatever this thing they are hinting at may be...
EDIT: This almost definitely looks like the frog holding the cigar who played the piano with the Singing Mushrooms! Compare the above "hint" to this picture:

Yeah i'm lost... the bottom of the picture does look like an upside frog. So my bet is the singing mushrooms now.

Should be revealed sometime Thursday. What KD is calling "Flashback Thursdays". Course, not sure what they can do to give another clue tomorrow without giving it away before then.
So many people want the singing Mushrooms & Frog back. I hope they remember how rudimentary the motion technology was back then and not be disappointed. As the old saying goes "Be careful what you ask for."
But, if folks are longing for the nostalgia of yesteryear, then I can see this lighting up the faces of those old enough to remember them and show them off to their children and grandchildren as what they experienced back in the day.
I wonder if KD has plans to bring back the Flower clock as well? I hope there is still the possibility of maybe one or two former flat rides making a return. If so, then I don't see the park revealing that information too early in the off-season. But, even if flat rides were not in the plans for 2014, just seeing Candy Apple Grove and Safari Village get a refurb is enough for me.

I'm sure that the mechanics will be updated and refurbished a little bit. I mean after sitting for so long the stuff begins to break down and will eventually stop working. So I imagine so stuff won't be original and will be have to be manufactured still.

I want to see the singing mushrooms! I can't wait to go next year! My mother has been going to Kings Dominion ever since it opened, along with BGW, and WCUSA. I'll bet she'll be happy to see KD regaining its charm, she said it used to be so much better. I wish BGW would do something like that, it would finally bring a smile to her face at BGW. She's been so disappointed about BGW. But I can't wait for her to go to KD!

I sure that the 'innards' will have to be refurbished/replaced/upgraded. Don't get me wrong, I am all for the Mushrooms & Frog making a comeback; but, some folks will always find something to bitch about. :-/

A lot of the people who go to KD for the coasters won't care for it, for sure. It's still wonderful that KD is embracing it's history like that though.
Anybody think Sally could be making them? They have a history of working with CF.

I believe the 4 Mushrooms & Frog had a Barbershop quartet sound; singing harmonies from the late 1890's to the early 1900's. I thought they performed for 5-6 minutes and then took a break for 15-20 minutes. I don't remember how many sets of music they had. Maybe 3-5 different programs that rotated during the day.

That would be awesome! The company that worked on that project was Garner Holt Productions.
For years, Disney has used them as an outside contractor for many of their animatronics. Maybe due to their success with Knotts on refurbishing their flume attraction, Garner Holt's relationship with Cedar Fair grew.
Garner Holt also did many of the animatronics for Ariel's Undersea Adventure/Under the Sea:Journey of the Little Mermaid and Chuck E Cheeses venues. I'm surprised that many other themeparks don't use them more often.
