looks like the kid is on the spectrum and eloped.

He's definitely on the spectrum. Biggest clue was him stopping and covering his ears. My best friend's son is austistic and he has done this exact same thing at Disney and Universal when the crowds and noise got too overwehlming for him.

Monorail has been down for weeks and this is what the entrance looked like on Thursday. Clearly the park wasn't monitoring this space enough, I expect Security to be out front and watching this space closer. Maybe they will add a fence or more barriers in the future?

The official statement mentions “While our team was actively searching, the child entered a secured area for the Monorail, which was not in operation. The ride was closed and safeguarded by a chained closure at the entrance and barricaded turnstile at the platform.”

So disturbing that a bunch of Twitter/X replies are about how some people shouldn’t have kids rather than how the park needs to do more to prevent that from happening in the first place.

I was there last Tuesday and walked right up to the entrance twice not seeing the chain till I almost walked into. It was not clearly and easily visibly marked as closed abd definitely was not what I would consider barricaded. I strongly belive that 95% of the blame for this incident lies at the park's feet.

Great to see a full production show back in Music Box. Hopefully it does well enough to encourage the park to do more live entertainment during the other parts of the year.
I couldn't agree more. I was blown away (in a bad way) by the fact that there were zero adult shows during the Dark Nights Halloween season (no, their "slider demonstration" on a main path walkway does not count as a show).
