I see so many people writing things like "I voted for Die Autobahn. The old car ride was my favorite!". Sigh. Also, I am unable to cast new votes. Just like the last poll, this won't let me vote every day.

I think the park should only use polls on very minor park elements. I appreciate them wanting guest feedback, but this kind of thing makes it look like the park has no originality. In the end, it really only makes people angry when they are given a vote on such a big matter.

While I agree people are stupid, calling "what rides should we include on a t-shirt" a 'big matter' seems a bit overstated.

I think better wording is definently in order. If a person isnt completely familiar with what the orginal name of a ride is they may vote for a ride they dont like.

I realize that sounds like a big overstatement. However, maybe I should just say that I don't think the park should give polls for anything larger than "Which insignia would you like to see featured in our new maze, Cornered?". Obviously, an insignia in a maze, and other small details like that don't matter as much as choosing from a list of things that people actually want.

I would like to refer to how Howl-O-Scream in Tampa has polls similar to that. It gives fans an opportunity to see how the executives make tough choices on small matters every day. It also lets them feel like they were part of something special when they see something they voted for. It gives them something to talk about.

Anything larger than that gives me the feeling that the park doesn't know their guests. All in all, it's a good debate, but it's also just a matter of opinion. I'm also not saying that I disagree.

I never had any issues with the ride, and I would stay on it every visit (a few per week) from 7 or 8PM until closing. That being said, I am well aware of the complaints out there. Still, with Drachen being in the lead, I like to believe that it is indicative that there are fans of the ride and of the era of BGW when Drachen Fire was still operating.
 
Nostalgia years later for a ride that people may or may not have ever ridden is not evidence of popularity at the time.

True. I think yes there might have been a few fans of the ride, but being nostalgic for a certain period in time of a park shouldn't make you vote for a ride. If a person likes the ride fine then vote for it but i couldn't see someone saying i like that time period let me vote for drachen fire.
