:S I only want a B&M Flying Coaster if there is one in 2014, but where would they put it? (Need to put it somewhere epic)

I hope to God that the park NEVER builds a B&M Flyer. Those coasters are gimmicky with boring and uninspired layouts. I've ridden Manta, Tatsu, two of the Six Flags Superman Flyers and Air at Alton Towers and none of them were exciting. And the Pretzel Loops suck on the ones that have them!

SeaWorld Entertainment has bought only one for their flagship park. Let's hope it's the last as well!

Finally! Somebody else that feels the same way about Flyers as I do!

When I say I want a flyer, I want a FLYER, I want a flyer that launches, not a stupid chain lift, and things like obstacles and new concepts.

RE: 2014 Coaster

^So basically you want a coaster that doesn't exist in B&Ms product catalog!

RE: 2014 Coaster

Yep pretty much. Hey don't forget about The Incredible Hulk down in USO. Anything's possible ;)

That was not B&M's idea. Universal wanted that and had another company contracted to create that part of the ride.

There hasn't been another B&M launched since so you shouldn't get your hopes up in Lala-land for something that will never happen.

RE: 2014 Coaster

Ik I'm not expecting anything and I know another company created the friction wheels. But it would be kinda nice to get a...I don't know actually.

RE: 2014 Coaster

Has anyone considered that there isn't a flyer in the BBW spot because there really isn't very much space back there to begin with?

Well....there isn't.

I know this has been brought up before, but what about replacing Nessie's trains in 2013 with some of those fancy Vekoma trains that they're putting on all the boomerangs now? Aren't the Vekoma trains backwards compatible with the old Arrow coasters?

Hey Swiftman, I dunno if anyone has read about or ridden Corkscrew now known as Sea Viper after its upgrade at Sea World (that's Sea World not SeaWorld, no relation to SWP&E) in Australia. But it is an Arrow Looper that got a referb and new trains by Kumbak Coasters and apparently is has dramatically improved the ride. Here is the themepark review POV if your curious.

I dunno how we could convince BGW to use these guys to improve Nessie, I've gotten some headaches from Nessie's anceint arrow trains. From the things I've read they really improved this Sea Viper coaster. Heck these guys might have been able to save Drachen Fire but thats besides the point.

EDIT: and from the looks of this other Kumbak Coasters Arrow Replacement Train they look very open and allow for better rider freedom and movement.

RE: 2014 Coaster

I personally like the Vekoma trains alot better. They are much more modern looking and the Kumbak trains look like they would be uncomfortable with the 3 separate sections of the seat. I doubt well see a refurb any time soon anyways...... I wonder if B&M could make new trains, but I could only dream!

Sorry to rain on your parade, but "free and open" would not turn out good for LNM. Keep in mind, if LNM had some of those trains you linked to, riders would easily be able to extend out their arms and promptly break them while entering/exiting the tunnel.

But I wanna break my arms off... [/sarcasm]

I really have no idea why you guys complain about so much about how small LM trains are. I weigh 250 lbs, and still fit in them with room to spare.

RE: 2014 Coaster

I rode quite a few Arrow Loopers in my 17 years of life, and LNM has the comfiest of them. I want nothing to do with Vekoma, ever. I have yet to ride any of their new trains because the only new one in North America is at Hershey (which is on a boomerang), and they have only made four coasters with the new designs they came up with, I am counting Battlestar as two because they are two totally different coasters.

I also have a few criticisms for TPR's trip to Australia and the events after that trip but I will keep them to myself because they are severely off-topic and will strike a few chords.

Anyways to get back on topic I wish they would consider a wooden coaster in Ireland and calling it Banshee. The banshee comes from Irish folklure and would fit nicely with Ireland and give them much more attention.

RE: 2014 Coaster

Rock N' Roller Coaster and Expedition Everest were nice. Looking through my Coaster Log to see what other ones I've ridden.

I should reword that a bit. I meant Vekoma's refurb trains on LNM. Vekoma's cloned rides are always a bit rough (though RNR is the exception from my experience) and their custom ones seem to be incredible. Exped is the smoothest Vekoma I've ever ridden and I've heard really good reviews about Battlestar. I just don't want Vekoma trains on LNM, but I could settle for a custom ride if it ever ends up happening. I actually thought they would be building Verbolten until I read your reports.

RE: 2014 Coaster

I will say that that the new strappy vekoma trains on the Carolina Cobra made a significant improvement from when I rode it at Geauga Lake.

I will also say that the only Arrow I have ever really loved is Tennessee Tornado at Dollywood.

I can only assume that if they put those trains on LNM, it would be better. And if they put them on Tornado, it would be out of this world.

RE: 2014 Coaster

Yeah... a nice giga or even a long/looping accelerator would be nice... dare to dream

RE: 2014 Coaster

I wouldn't mind seeing a B&M Flying Coaster, they could easily put one in Italy in between Da Vinci's Garden and Pompeii with it resembling his flying machine. I'm hoping for either a B&M Steel Coaster or Wing Coaster personally. Maybe one in Ireland and have it theme around Oillipheist, the dragon the tried to stop St. Patrick.
