I just wanted to bring this discussion back to where it started. It seems we've not really talked about possible changes to the Festhaus. Any thoughts?

In Tampa they moved their center stage to the back and set it up as a stage at the far end. I kind of like that setup. I don't know if it would work as well with a building as big as the Festhaus though.
 
I have a feeling that BGW's was placed center because it complemented a larger facility with equel visability from four sides. The center is also supoosed to pay homage to a Maypole.
 
I thought they had revamped it. It has new signage, flags, and the new wooden facade.
 
They are doing some modifications and additions to the restrooms in the Festhaus that includes an extension to the front of the building to the right of the entrance.

^ I can confirm this and that there will be other changes as well.
 
On certain Saturdays during the summer (including the Fourth of July weekend), the bathrooms do get insanely crazy. There is normally a line extending out of the door of women's rooms and a line inside the men's room.
 
The ones near ticket sales need extending before Festhaus. Nothing gets a guest started off to a bad day worse than getting the stomach bubble and having to wait ten minutes for a stall.
 
Thought I'd give this thread a little love since it's gotten a few cobwebs on it. Because it's been a while since the last post, any new details we can find about 2013? Don't think a new ride's on the horizon what with Verbolten's expenses so maybe other plans?
 
The park plans on announcing the resort hotel this September and I think we can expect to see some work going on over the off season. Also, a train station in Germany has had huge debate and it is likely to see something spring up over in that area as well.

Other than the start of their new 5-yr. plan, expect small little things happen, just nothing super major.

If we are in fact getting a resort, we WILL see at least a full working crossing from Germany to the resort... I highly doubt a station because of the grade, but maybe they have something planned
 
I would predict the opposite: A new train station without a path connecting it to Germany- at least not yet.
