Destroying the ambience... The realistic buildings always made you feel like you were in that country and the newer shows and buildings kind of ruin the ambience when they're mixed with the older buildings.

I feel the same way.

Exactly what i was thinking. You put it in better words!

Woooah I hope they don't touch the festhaus! I love that building and the music, every year when I enter the park for the first time in a new season I cross my fingers and hope they haven't changed the park music and so far so good, but with all these Oktoberfest changes and now the possibility of a change to the festhaus I'd guess it'd be not just a visual change but an auditory change as well.

Im all for the park staying on par by bringing in new rides and the like, but when it comes to classic parts of the park like the festhaus I say hands off.

I wouldnt mind seeing Busch Gardens adding a ride like Skyhawk or MaxAir from Cedar Pointe or Barnstormer from Dollywood. Those rides are a lot of fun and can easily be themed to any of the countries.

Also if they were to theme the whole drachen fire area as oktoberfest that would probably eliminate the opportunity for a big new country area.

Since Verbolten is coming next year, I wouldn't expect anything big in 2013. Maybe a flat ride, a MaxAir would be nice, but I'm still skeptical about something new.

Yeah... we did have to wait 4 years for a new major ride (EITA does not count... it's merely a switch of films)

I'm hoping for another big attraction in 2014, and I think 2013 will be a barnstormer/skyhawk type ride. (can't ever remember what those darn things are called!)

I've been silent on this thread for a while now- a little too long actually. Anyway, I only really have one thing to say... Expect the unexpected- always. Who saw Verbolten coming? We knew we were getting a coaster, but I don't know of anyone who saw the park spending $54 Million on a replacement for a 25 year-old family coaster. The park could have added two i305s for that price and still have had some money to spare. Lets all remember one thing: Blackstone isn't Anheuser Busch. The things you got used to when Busch was in charge you might as well just throw out the window.

I urge everyone to re-read this post a few times and let it sink in.

Yeah, I know, it all sounds good. I guess I just want to know I'll still be able to sit at the Festhaus and have sausages and polka under the original window in ten years, if you know what I mean. I don't mind change if it doesn't ruin the tradition. Adding to it is a great thing, and I hope that's the direction they're taking.
