If they build an amphitheater where Drachen was, then they could fit a small mine car type coaster in New France. Of course traffic there would be horrible with to coaster next to each other.

The problem is that we don't need a small coaster- that's what Grover and the 2012 coaster are for. 2013/2014 has to bring something big, new, and thrilling. There are a bunch of different places they could put something like a Zacspin or a Eurofighter. They're compact, and apparently pack a pretty good punch.

I personally don't find a 5/2 big/small coaster ratio really fair. Also can you really compare the 2013 coaster to Grover. I figured comparing to the Wolf would be more appropriate. Remember: there's a difference between "family coasters" and "kiddie coasters".

I would NOT want a Euro. Honestly I still really think a flyer or wing-rider would fit in really well here. Eurofighters aren't "world class" coasters. What makes them great is their theming (see Mystery Mine). With the 2012 coaster, I doubt we'll see a Eurofighter. Then again, it is Busch Gardens EUROPE and I would love an indoor/outdoor fighter in place of EITA

I think it's perfectly fair. Grover is the kiddie coaster, Project 2012 is the family coaster, and Loch Ness is the intense family coaster with inversions.

*Cough* My-idea-from-like-two-years-ago *Cough*

It really is the perfect location though. The size of the area seems a lot smaller than it actually is. If they wanted to be daring, the red is where they could potentially build.

And for comparison, here's Griffon at the same zoom level:

In theory it would use the current Europe in the Air station, but yes, it would be visable from England. I personally don't have any problem with that. After all, it is a theme park.

The only problem that I have with your plan Swift is all the tree removal that would have to occur for the coaster to happen. Imagine the openness of Griffon at he park entrance area.

Coasters can be built with minimal tree removal- just look at Alpengeist. Plus, I'd rather them rip down all of the trees over there than somewhere in the middle of the park (like they did with Griffon). Something else to remember about the area that I have in red: There is some great terrain through there. A terrain Eurofighter would be pretty awesome if you ask me.

In regards to the trees, the zoning commission wouldn't like that at all. There's a stream that flows through there as well. Just look at how careful BGW is being about not effecting the river bed with the 2012 coasters. If you ask me, that's a big reason why they're keeping the footers.

Like I said, they wouldn't have to take down a ton of trees if they did it right. As I see it, the stream wouldn't be much of a problem. Just build the supports on the banks...

Also, you know you want a Eurofighter car flying under this bridge, don't you?

Eh, I think to get all the construction vehicles and parts in there properly you'd have to tear down a pretty significant number of trees. Then again, they could replant in the end.

And ehhhhhhhhh, I think a wing rider near miss or flying coaster fly over would look better.

I think a Eurofighter has its place at BGW, just not in 2014 and not in what looks like an "out and back" design. I think for a Euro to take up that much space we'd have to see a much higher drop to keep the car moving or many launches. I dont think they would add two launch coasters back to back. Basically, I don't think any of the companies, who deal almost exclusively with compact designs, are equipped to build something that robust.

Additionally, and personally, the biggest issue with a Euro is how NOT formidable they look. They don't have the same "oh wow! that looks big! and stable!" It's due to the cars, supports, and track style. If they're looking to make a bigger, more intense ride it needs to look the part.

Was this on topic enough for everyone? :p

I'd love another B&M, but I just don't see a place in the park that has the room required for a B&M or Intamin made coaster. Do you?

They own a significant amount of land beyond the railroad tracks if I remember correctly. It would be a MAJOR expansion, but it's possible. Additionally the stables and horse fields behind Festa Itailia could be utilized.

In the space you sectioned out I definitely think that there's room for a more compact B&M (read nemesis, black mamba, etc). I think a ride like that would be VERY appropriate for Busch.

Oh, and Studio, I LOVE Griffon's lift. It's beautiful and unnerving and a nice way to tan. But I agree with you. Those vertical lifts are so effing ugly.
