I sort of feel like you already get the experience of a wing rider, actually even more so depending on where you sit, when you ride the Griffon. Provided you don't sit in the middle of the train.

Im thinking 2012 is sposed to be the family coaster, and the next one is gonna be "the beast".

I would love to see a new stand up. My God, that would be awesome. Not happening...

I would love to see a flyer, It's alot more likely...

I would kill to see the new B&M 4D at Busch, and it's something they would do... But It hasnt even come out of the factory yet, so for 2014 It's unlikely.

Fixed.

Well see, that's not entirely true. On griffon you sit above the track, on X2 you are sitting very close to the the track, more than on anny traditional coaster. I'd go as far as to say that you would get your feet chopped off if you were go riding above the track. Let's not forget that the seats spin and enter several different riding positions throughout the ride... Oh and you are backwards(for the most part) too.

Now if it were to go forward in a fixed position, even still I'd have to argue that the experience is totally different. I'd have to say it compares more to an invert, with the feeling of riding on the side of the track.

honestly, I don't expect any major for 2013 other than the new Festhaus Park Amphitheater, a renovated Black Forest pavilions, and some significant advancements to the Festhaus.

a new Festhaus Park Amphitheater would probably require the removal of both Drachen Fire buildings. I imagine a venue similar to that of The Kingswood amphitheater at KD.

Don't expect a back to back coaster year for 2014. But I am speculating that Busch is planning on building another outdoor amphitheater then they probably have plans to get rid of the Royal Palace theater. It's a waste of space. Too big for everyday in-park entertainment to justify it size and use. And its too small to be a true concert venue. I think we could maybe see the disappearance of the RPT by 2015 for a France expansion. I would want to see more shopping, a small flat ride, and a small cafe/coffee shop themed theater venue similar to the San Marco theatre except indoors.

Thorpe park is suppose to be getting a 4d b&m in 2012. 2014 is two years later. Busch could definately pull that off.

That would be an awesome positioning for a new amphitheater. i want to think Busch is going to construct rides back there but at the same time I know thats not likely. I went on saturday this weekend and was eating at the san marco restaurant and was thinking why not a flyer come right over the theater so it would give you something to look at.... and is there even enough space for a ride like dueling dragons at universal??? both of the dueling dragons (now dragon challenge) rides seem spaced out alot!

I dont think Busch would take that gamble... Do you see how tiny the layout on the thorpe 4D is? It's clearly a prototype. I see a few more being built before Busch even considers it.

Here's something interesting you all might want to know:
I've just been contacted by someone in a pretty good position in the park who claims that there is in fact a 2013 or 2014 coaster in the works and that the resort hotel project is still very much alive.

If I hear anything else, I'll let you all know.

Concept art now Swiftman or else I don't believe a thing you say.

Quick invest in a sarcasm smiley before scout bans carter.

Great news. I think with the right investment they could really turn bgw into a nice vacation spot. They need more touristy things to do in the area though.

Haha, he would never! Scout loves me. So does Swift. We have a thing......does it make you jealous? But seriously, Scout/Swift. Please please please invent one of those for me. I promise I'd only use it in every single one of my posts.

And yeah, i totally agree. It just reaffirms to me that BG wants to be more a disney/universal than a cedar fair/six flags.

I wonder where this new coaster would go....And no...It's going on the Drachen Fire site. So ket's just not even bring that up.

Considering they (BGW) have been uber-secretive about their future plans you are probably not going to see any concept art or even the slightest mentioning of 2013/14 plans until the hype over MT and the 2012 addition blow over.

Trust Swift.

Oh, I do. He sent me some concept art and initial plans. I'd share it but he told me it was a secret...But I mean, don't beat yourself up about it. The art I have probably only marginally looks like what they'll actually build. You know how it is with concept art. Awkward though....I thought for sure he would've showed you too.....

Haha, naw i'm just messing with you. I don't have any of that stuff. I like you ArrowWolf. And I was just being sarcastic with Swift (note winky face and two posts earlier about creating a sarcasm smiley). I totally trust Swift. I joked like that because if you remember people were saying that to Swift before he posted the 2012 concept art.

1. I agree about the BGW tourism/resort. I'm a little worried that a resort hotel would turn BGW into another SF/Cedar/Disney like park. Also the added tourism may benefit the surrounding towns but it may be too much and possibly ruin them.

2. The new 2014 coaster may sadly end up replacing an existing attraction(s) so don't be too surprised if that happens. (I personally think the former DrachenFire site should contain a coaster or some flats or something like that. Not an amphitheater.)

I'm a small business kinda guy so I absolutely hate the idea of the resort hotel. I feel like all it would do is keep all the money and visitors within the park and not out and about in Williamsburg and the surrounding areas where local and small businesses are located.

As for the 2013/2014. That scares me to death since I'm afraid we could lose something for it. ex: Le Mans, BBW

EDIT: Man Arrowwolf pretty much was reading my mind haha

I don't think it's much to worry about...I mean there really isn't anything left that takes up a large amount of space that could be taken down to accommodate a new coaster, except a coaster itself or DK or EiTA...the other day a guest approached me and said that they heard a rumor that Nessie was being ton down next year, but I highly doubt it...way more people would benupset over that loss than BBW
