did a few different wing rider layout footprints on my home pc...will have to upload them later...another one just popped up in my head...too bad there isnt any aerial pics from the other side of the rhine...im no art major, but id love to photoshop in this wingrider idea of mine and see how it looks...i think it could really work well and use the terrain to its advantage...think bgw would ever give the idea of a coaster cutting under the train bridge any consideration?...lol...

i really like the look of the wing rider...it doesnt have to have a huge lift to get the speed to make it through the course...150-180 would be good...with alot of low to the ground terrain track...with this 1 design, the only grips kingsmill would have would be the lift and first inversion...either a dive loop or immelman, what do you guys think?...i think dive loop...griffons 2 are enough for the park...lol...rest of the inversions would be at least 1 zero g roll, flat spin, camelback twist..and im trying to figure out if it would be possible to do a batwing with wingrider track...simalar to montus inverted one....im thinking give bgw the record holding wingrider for a few years...tallest, most inversions, largest drop....longest...it can be done...get to work bgw!...lol

how bout a flying snake dive? lol. no one ever hears that one!!! I like the idea of a 4D B&M instead of a wingrider.

I would love a fly-over over the Rhine...like the scene in Harry Potter POA where Harry ride Buckbeak over the lake...that would be cool

A wingrider in the terms that im thinking (raptor at gardaland) ...is b&ms 4d...without rotating seats...personally, the ideas in my head wouldnt work with rotating seats...takes away the real use of terrain....rotating seats on 4d's are made to get you disoriented....i want you to be able to see that the ground is really only 5 feet below you, or have you think...man, am i on this outside seat really gonna clear the gap between the 2 bridges...just my opinion...but rotating seats are too gimmicky and do nothing for me...and other than the rotating seats...they are so simple...just a simple double out and back...I WANT TERRAIN HUGGING, BUILDING/ PATH MISSING TRACK!....lol

the flyover would have to be higher up...i dont think a drop like lnm at that end of the rhine is doable...the boat rides being the main reason....i was thinking a camelback twist cutting between the train bridge and newly constructed pedestrian bridge...between the 2 new countries...lol...this coaster would probly have to be park of a 2 year major expansion....so that the rc flyover can be intergrated into the new ped. bridge...supports and such...and bc the station to the new wingrider is in the back close to the fx bulding for the 2012 coaster...you really do need that new outter loop completed between italy and down across the rhine to df's old area...at least, shop and restaurant wise...with a new kids area and 2 new flats to start out with...other rides could come later...

We have a foot bridge, a rail bridge, and a coaster partially going over the river. I can't see them adding anymore things crossing it. Having a coaster going completely across the river would probably clutter the area.

the area I was speaking of was around the rail bridge on the e/se side of the park...and on clutter note, it doesnt get much more cluttered then around lnm east to the other train bridge...a complete coaster on the river...2 others diving toward and looping away from ...the train bridge, and floating walkway and whatever rc boat thing they have going on down below lnm...east of the italy/germany ped. bridge its quite open...you have the train bridge further down and the new coaster dive...whice will be simalar to bbw...i think we were looking at 2 dif. areas...and the simple fact that everything im saying is on the whole idea that the park ever expanded eastward into the adjacent woods...nothing really realistic here...

edit...re reading your post, i do think we are talking about the same area...but looking at a google map will show you its much more expansive than the other end of the river that has been jammed full...

I would actually reverse the WingRider so that the station is located in Italy. It would make more sense seeing that it would seem that they plan to keep the Drachen Fire area open.

IMO i think that the next major attraction would be a flyer, and later down the road when LNM is removed, which will be sad, is when we could possibly see a wing rider or 4d. but im sure that something better and visually appealing will come along by the time LNM is removed.

Well, Even looking at the map and the photos together, I still think the place would be cluttered up if two coaster crossings and another foot bridge were put there. And look how great that place looks, I'd rather not see that view obstructed by more bridges.

let me go with that thinking and see what comes up...i could always move the station ...as of right now i dont have too much of the df taken up...its more in the woods up against the bbw area and along the rhine...what theme and color do you think would be good for a wingrider on either side, depending on what countries they would add...

i do agree with you about the beauty of those shots...this park is amazingly beautiful...and id never want that to change. but, on the other hand i see a problem with space over the next 5 years...and unless they plan on just removing rides and replacing/retheming area that already exist, they are going to have to expand in some way....I personally dont see them doing anything with the horse fields and or df area/adjacent woods without connecting then in some way...it would just cause the bottleneck issues in italy and df area to get worse...i dont want them to change anything that will mess with the look of the park...but if they want to expand for room to compete (rides and overall park enjoyment) i dont see really any other thesable way?...do you know of any or have any ideas on the whole expansion subject?...

It would be nice if that area expanded in the future, and another foot bridge crossing for pathways would be okay. A coaster crossing the river would be major overkill.

What about a terrain coaster that hugged the rhine but never crossed it?...lol

That would work a lot better... but I feel it would diminish the uniqueness of the 2012 coaster.

I kinda like that track plan though... makes me think of a bigger Big Bad Wolf.

One problem... Festa has TOO MUCH terrain! BG had to do major leveling to make festa work. You cannot tell that from the pictures, but you sure can when you work there!

parks do what they have to do...directly behind the rapids is not what im talking about...most of the land involving the stables and fields has more or less been flattened...except for the 50-100 ft along the rivers edge...do you think the current land where the park sits now was ready to go...theyve had to flatten and grad alot of the park to get it to work...if they think it could be done to fit their needs, theyll do it...

but you are right....to the east between roman and ac is quite rough...as is most of the slope down the river surrounding all the land bg owns...

I would love to see something where the stables are. Screw the horsies.
