^ Congratulations...?

I'll have new pictures for you all tomorrow. Like Carter, I'm not afraid of looking like a BGWFans member. Unlike Carter, I won't be walking back into any restricted areas. ;)

Hahaha, awesome. I will ALWAYS look like a BGWFans member.

Oh, and Swift and everyone else, I will also always have no fear taking pictures from restricted areas. :)

@Balak: You can count at me!

RE: 2012 Coaster (Name To Be Discovered)

I want a teaser site. It's time.

Hersheypark has already started an awesome viral campaign in the style of Orlando's HHN yearly theme puzzles about their 2012 coaster, which I believe is less further along in construction than ours.

Here is the website-a fictional Ride Insitute of Technology complete with hidden clues in the 'studies'
http://www.rideinstitute.com/index.php

Here is a link to the article that talks about it:
http://www.pennlive.com/midstate/index.ssf/2011/04/hersheypark_uses_website_to_re.html

Give me some of this. I look forward to immersing myself in HHN's website and fan forums every year, and can only hope BG will jump on the bandwagon and do the same. I'm worried they already may have dropped the ball.

RE: 2012 Coaster (Name To Be Discovered)

Some pics from today of the construction area. I swear there were trees there last week. In the que line they've taken down all the rails that formed the line. The last one is Mtoro, the African Serval, totally unrelated but still really cool.

Hahahaha, I'm turning this forum upside down! Don't be jealous iheartbgw :p

Thank you Merboy. I appreciate it.

EDIT: Maybe more people should make their photos of their face!

RE: 2012 Coaster (Name To Be Discovered)

VERY nice photos sir!

See, here's kind of what I've been saying all along: the land they're building the event building on is relatively flat. They aren't destroying some amazing potential by leveling it there.

RE: 2012 Coaster (Name To Be Discovered)

Thanks for the photos Vaughn!

I know that clearing is necessary, but I'm hoping they don't clear out too many trees other than that. I mean, judging by the layout, they won't have to, right?

(Gee, look at me talking about saving the trees! I sound like an environut.)

RE: 2012 Coaster (Name To Be Discovered)

Its hard for me to understand the perspective im looking at when I see those bulldozers clearing the land pics. What direction am I looking towards?

Ok I think I see now, that chain link fence in the foreground is directly behind the bumper cars? So the bulldozers are about directly on top of where the BBW village was.???

RE: 2012 Coaster (Name To Be Discovered)

Yes, and apparently the coaster is going to follow much of the same layout as BBW.

RE: 2012 Coaster (Name To Be Discovered)

Yes, which concerns me - the length of the track. But I digress, I've already expressed those concerns on this forum about fearing the ride will be too short.

Well don't forget that it has the "Event Building" that has a bit of track that BBW did not have and it looks like it will have a full stop before the part that drops. So as far as time goes, I think it will be pretty long ride, even with that layout.

Was there Saturday and from the train we could see a BIG dump truck and a refuse rolloff sitting by one of the Drachen Fire station buildings and more privacy fencing and erosion fencing back there too. Looked like mostly prepping the site. No earth movers or digging equipment that we could see from the train.

RE: 2012 Coaster (Name To Be Discovered)

I forgot to mention that those were all from yesterday. I was just to tired/lazy to post them when I finally got back.
