Sundays used to be a good day, especially during The Grande Illumination but, since that was getting so crowded many have started flooding the park. I'll be there the weekend after Thanksgiving and expect at or near capacity the whole time.

I would have thought the same thing. I went to the Grand Illumination last year and it was jam packed.

Does anyone have an idea when they open parking for Member Night? We've never made it down for a preview night but will be fleeing the NoVA snow/slush to check out Christmas Town tomorrow.

BGW has just announced a CT collectors mug. With this, I have some questions, how much will it be?(or what you think it should be), is it the same size as the other mug ans just a different shape? will refill costs be the same?View attachment 13399

Yay! A mug that fits in stroller cup holders!

Do you have any idea what a pain it was to try and hold a mug while pushing a stroller? And, when the hot chocolate was finished, you couldn't just put it in the basket under the stroller; it would leak into the basket causing a mess, so you had to hold it until you had a chance to wash it out (but, of course you'd get a refill before then).

We took to tying a plastic bag to our stroller handle to hold the mugs.

I am much more excited about this than any sane person would be.

Have to ask the proverbial question...... Can we go thru the employee gate to park during Xmas town? I forget if we could last year, but can’t remember riding a tram in years....

There are occasionally some opening day hiccups that prevent it, but yes, anyone who can use the employee gate normally should be able to tonight.

I'm really looking forward to reading about people's experiences tonight, and seeing lots of pictures! (especially pictures of the new mugs ---- see my above post!)

I mentioned to the kids that CT opens tonight, and they started insisting we start listening to the holiday stations on the car radio. They don't care that it's not Thanksgiving yet, either!

As far as I know, they are using the New France Train Station, so it does make sense they have long lines. Not to mention, two trains instead of 3. It’s a round trip experience from what I’ve heard.
