Ok, I REALLY didn't see that coming.

Worlds of Fun already has a top tier GCI in Prowler. This has to be something new and weird I'd think?

I think given Prowler and the multi-year investment for Timber Wolf, GCI being the first one up to bat makes absolute sense as the two have a steady relationship.

..that said, I fully agree with that. A standard wooden airtime coaster doesn't make sense, and while I think this may be shooting the rim, I wonder if WoF may be the first one up to bat with Titan Track. Perhaps as a means of showing the trust WoF and GCI has, GCI may be wanting their prototype of the model fully with a park that they have close bonds with already?

Something to consider, could also allow inversions in the process.

It's a GCI.
That came out of nowhere, I wonder if Wof could be the lucky winner of their dueling inverting wooden coaster like these
That would be insane
Also how do we know it’s a gci?

Yeah, now I'm expecting some sort of Titan Track showcase. That should be cool, I went on Wolverine Wildcat at MA last weekend and the first drop was insanely smooth. This should be fun.

This, if inversions are in it, would also be the debut of the Infinity Flyers* on a GCI attraction.**

EDIT:
*= have been tested on white lightning but never operated for guests with them
**=first installation that would have Infinity Flyers due to having inversions.

Do we put any stock into the Screamscape rumor from the other day about a spiral lift?

At this point, I think we can say that World of Fun may definitely be trying to bring back some Zambezi Zinger vibes, but instead of with a steel coaster (and I know many of you wanted an RMC Raptor here) this will be a wooden coaster, if those leaked plans hold true. So how can a wooden coaster try to recreate the Zambezi Zinger? While I don’t know the whole story, rumors claim this may be a mostly low-to-the-ground terrain coaster experience that will start things off with perhaps the Zambezi Zingers most iconic structure… the spiral lift hill.

If you were looking for a manufacturer for a family coaster with a spiral lift, it seems to me that there just isn't an obvious solution out there. Hardly any of the currently working manufacturers have built something like that before. If WOF really wanted that spesific element, I guess they coulda just ended up with whichever manufacturer had a solid idea of how to make that one feature work? Pair that with the clear WOF/CF + GCI relationship and I guess maybe that could explain a third major wooden coaster at WOF?

Now the real question is if it’s GCI or GG.
If it’s GCI, as stated earlier in the thread, that inversion would almost certainly have Titan track and the infinity flyers. If it’s gravity group, we will be seeing a shuttle version of mine blower it appears.

If it's a direct copy from what Dorney was supposed to be getting it's 100% a Gravity Group ride.

Looks like @Unagi was right and Midwest Info Guide was wrong—this is a Skyline/GCI project!

Midwest Info Guide being wrong is usually the way things work out there. They chase karma on reddit more than actually getting it right.

They seem pretty irritable too; I saw a lot of people ask them about the Fire in the Hole RMC project and they seemed like it was their fault they didn't really know anything about it. Wouldn't be surprised if they don't really have much info at all to be honest.

Sorry for the double post, but it's looking more and more likely this is a Titan track project now

So if this IS a GCI Titan Track and the reviews are good, what are the odds they will eat into RMCs business?
Or are they too late to the game with RMC having too much of a lead?

I think it would certainly raise questions about the future would-be-RMC projects.

RMC has built a reputation for designing and constructing VERY intense coasters. I could see a world in which GCI could successfully differentiate Titan Track coasters as a tamer, more approachable, potentially-more-reliable/conservative RMC alternative. I think the industry sees GCI as the B&M of wooden coasters—I think I'd be surprised to see them deviate from that wheelhouse too severely with Titan Track.

Hearing rumblings that an employee allegedly posted the actual layout of the new ride online somewhere and was searchable by the ride's real name. Was up for a few hours, has since been removed. I assume someone out there who saw it saved it, only a matter of time that it resurfaces (if true).

Fascinated to see what this becomes. Hopefully this really is a Titan Track coaster that can show off the capabilities of TT and Infinity Flyer trains!

Hard to imagine a way for Midwest Info Guide to tank their reputation (whatever was left of it after the whole COVID thing) faster than they are right now.

First they claimed Worlds of Fun was building the GravityGroup shuttle coaster that was planned for Dorney pre-COVID. That claim was disproven days later and they responded by deleting their previous assertion altogether. Now they're over on CoasterForce smugly claiming to have found a (now removed) publicly-available coaster layout but refusing to share it or any information about it. Obviously, if a source or method was at risk, that would be one thing—but if a source or method was at risk, they wouldn't have been teasing people with it and encouraging people to go hunt it down.

Clearly just looks like an attempt to be able to brag about knowing secrets for the clout without being willing to actually provide anything of value to the community.

🤡 🤡 🤡
