But the admins decided to attack the post just because it wasnt something they like or thought useful.

Where did I attack any post? I disagreed with you, and explicitly said it was my opinion. And I posted that in the CT thread, where you brought up the Coke sweater to compare it to BGW’s coke bear.

Yes, whatever could people do with a cute plush animal for?

It honestly seems like you need to shoehorn digs at BGW at any chance you get. We get it, you like KD and WDW more. There’s nothing wrong with having criticism of a park, but at this point what you’re doing is comedic.

Just thought I was posting something that others may have missed. My appologies....

For the record, I do not own an ugly sweater... Or any sweater really. I run hot and they run counter to moral and wellness.

Just saying.

Also the thought of Thomas being granted ANYTHING like admin powers terrifies me to no end.
Also while in theory I like the IDEA of a coke cozy or a plushy bear, after I got home they would just be more crap in a house full of crap that I am already trying to pair down. No seriously I am not trying to look like a hoarder...

I've been trying to get rid of junk like that... so I have room to put in new junk like that.

Question.. can I use my all season funpix for the Santa meet and greet? And if so, is there still a cost associated with it?

Went last night and again found that threat of rain or even just a gloomy day keeps the crowds away better than freezing cold (which also closes the coasters). Tonight is probably the best night left unless people figure out we're havin' a heat wave. Last night they closed at 8:30 due to weather, announced right as one train ops started backing up a little on TT; there was some light rain later but it was mostly a crowd thing. As usual for early close, anyone with a ticket can come back. Seats were a bit wet when I arrived around 5:30 but otherwise was great weather.

I did 3x Doms and 3x TTs and then had dinner before doing even more. Did Wayside's BBQ first time in a long time. Think slaw changed a bit, wasn't that great by itself but on the BBQ with a bit of sauce was nectar. As usual the huge bun is superfluous with a big basket of waffle fries.

Finally short line for 12 Days, really drives home how many birds in those 12. Other night finally did Charlie Brown's Christmas Spectacular. Better than I expected. Sort of mixes Peanuts bits with old time KD singing and dancing type shows.

If Cedar Fair would take a chance and budget moola for one major show at most of the larger parks and kick it up a notch with the others, I think KD and others will see a uptick in attendance. CF has been going in the right direction the last 3-4 years with Winterfest and the new Carnivale special events in the park chain. They can do the same for the regular season entertainment. Heck, for an "Off-Season" with no new major attractions, the parks could advertise the shows as the "new" stuff for that year.

The old Taft/KECO park philosophy was to make entertainment almost as important as the latest ride/attraction. CF can do the same, especially if major rides/coasters won't be installed with the previous frequency as they were in earlier seasons. Spending 3-4 million on a major broadway style show is much cheaper than major flat rides that are in the 4-8 million dollars range and coasters that are in the 10-25+ million dollar range.

Give me one decent show like "Dancin in the City" Opening Number

Anyway, back to your regularly scheduled Winterfest topic.

Does anyone know what the crowds are typically like for New Years’s Eve? Thinking of taking the family tonight.

They were moderate last year but there was a chance of rain all day last year so how that will reflect on this year is a guess since this is only year 2.

Anecdotal, but I visited Winterfest 6 or 7 times both this year and last year and the park felt significantly more crowded this year than last year. Maybe I just went on different nights, but it seemed like the public is more aware of the event now. I’ve said this about BGW too, but as an enthusiast it makes me really happy to see the park crowded. I hope KD and CF are pleased with the event’s success this year.

(Side note: hopefully the increased crowds can justify a bigger expansion of the event next year?)

Just about as busy as July 4th. Was a struggle waking last night.
I was there from 5 till after midnight and it was crowded later on but not anywhere near as crowded as 4th of July. The main issue and the reason it felt that crowed was that the crowds were heavily clustered in a few areas mainly around international street. My big suggestion would be for KD to keep more open later most of the shows and stuff ended at 9. Also several of the restaurants closed early that night. Also some effort to keep walking paths around international street clear would be nice. Maybe they could some how setup a temporary stage under the tower allowing the crowds to stack back around the two sides if the fountain like they use to do for Over Lord during busy Haunt nights.
