Event Winterfest 2026

I am surprised to see that Winterfest details are up now (on the web site, not the mobile app) and it looks to be again the Winterfest Lite. I was hoping they'd revert back to pre 2025, even though it wasn't fully refreshed like SFOG and SFGA are getting . No such luck.

Had high hopes. In fairness it doesn’t say it is scaled back, but doesn’t say it has grown back either.

Hours are still primarily daytime.

Its a shame because this version of Winterfest had the absolute best lights of any of the Cedar Fair parks.

I just can’t imagine that the daytime version is doing anything but regurgitating local season passholders. It’s not an event worth traveling to. And basically a scaled down version of the normal operating season with some Christmas decorations.

I agree. I did canceled a week in Charlotte, staying at Carowinds, since they did this. Not worth flying in from California for that. And especially without KD doing an event. Although I could have driven to see SFOG.
