We went last Friday and were surprised at how heavy the crowds were.
My overall impression is that Winterfest still has amazing light displays. I understand the complaint that they haven’t added anything new recently, but technically that is untrue, and I’m not sure how it much it matters to people who only go once a year. Regardless, walking around the park is still a lovely experience, and honestly makes me less interested in going to Christmas Town, where they don’t seem to remember how to decorate for the holidays anymore.
The lights around The Eiffel Tower were the best I have ever seen them. They completely encircled the structure, which hasn’t always been the case. The outdoor lounge next to The Tipsy Reindeer was dramatically better decorated than when I saw it last year; it actually looked complete. Moreover, it was full of families. The Prestige Lounge was fully decorated, the second floor was open and in use, and we were offered free hot chocolate. All of those things are new.
Do I hope that they were open up Jungle-X next year, with all new themed lights and music? Of course. But I still think KD’s event is beautiful and I still love strolling through the light displays and admiring all of their fantastic trees.
