Three of the geysers were working on the ride as of a few minutes ago when I got off. The water features on the tunnel were on too.
Looks like WWC is going to open on time this year. Historically WWC has opened memorial day along with soak city. The Screamscape post early this year stated that there was structural and mechanical issues that were found this offseason and that the attraction would have an extended closure. Looks like that was wrong or they were able to get it fixed before their usual opening day. The last thing the park needed was another attraction SBNO for the 50th.

It had extensive mechanical issues towards the end of last season an was closed for almost a month waiting on replacements. Opened for the last few weeks of last year's season after getting those replacements. To the best of my knowledge there were no new surprises found in the off season an it was always on track for memorial day opening.
Screamscape historically will err on the side of publication, so take anything published there that isn't corroborated elsewhere with a big grain of salt.
