I was hoping to do some posts based around Six Flags Great America in their section because that's my home park and I've been going there all my life, and so have my parents, but I didn't know if anyone was interested in that sort of thing lol.
I just wanna say as somebody who has never visited Great Adventure (I hope to change that in the next couple years), I absolutely enjoy visiting GreatAdvetureHistory just because of how well documented it is. Just the amount of information and pictures there are for every attraction before, current and after, even for the defunct attractions, is really fascinating. For those that are responsible for it, I commend you guys highly.
Harry & I always wanted to expand beyond Great Adventure with "SixFlagsHistory.com" if we could find people to create content for the other parks. I'd still love to see that happen.
The way we got started was on a Great Adventure forum when I posted old photos and historic information. Harry did the same. We realized between the two of us we wanted to learn/collect/explain it all and launched the site and published the books. If you have things like that, start a thread about the park's history. You never know when someone else will have the same interest...
Unfortunately Stephen from GreatAmericaParks.com seems to have stepped back from his postings, but his site still has some amazing Great America historic info.
hello, I'm from great adventure forums, and im happy to join this forum (note I created this account early march)
As part of Great Adventure's 50th they've been selling bricks to re-open Dream Street where it had been closed for more than 30 years. Several people purchased bricks to honor Harry's memory and honor his hard work on the site, and I only know who one of the purchasers was. The others remain a mystery, and today I received a replica brick in the mail unexpectedly and I don't know who purchased it.

Just a heads up-- I have invited GAH's favorite aerial photographer Flyin' Phil to join us here on ParkFans as we wind down our Forums on the other site. Hopefully he joins us over here with his updates. He does great aerial photography all around the area including Sesame, Dorney, and Hershey as well as GAdv, so I hope we can have him post updates whenever possible. He doesn't have a set schedule for updates, but it's always a nice surprise when he posts new stuff for us. He got a ton of updates all over GA (including HH and the Safari) and hopefully he posts them here later today. He took some some great shots of all that's happening on property!
Just wanted to throw this out there @GAcoaster, I’m not sure what your future plans are as far as spotlights for GAH are (if any), but I’d be more than willing to help out with them in any way I can. The site was the most formative part of me becoming an enthusiast aside from trips to the park itself, and I can’t even begin to imagine the amount of time and effort you and Harry put into it.
My hope is to try and keep updating the website. I appreciate the offer of help and will keep it in mind.

hey i'm sure this has been asked an answered elsewhere, but what if anything was the status of archiving the gallery from the old forums. was attempting to look at old show schedules in particular and they redirected to dead links from there.
I have MOST of the files from the galleries, it's just a case of finding them all from Harry's stuff and then finding the time to get them all posted somewhere new.

GAH is plenty without the gallery, and is not a full time job. It’s an immense amount to go through, especially for a comprehensive archive, and it hasn’t even been 2 weeks since he said that, give him some time.

Does anyone have this video or the radio advertisement?
