Since it's entirely possible that this will comeback for the 2026 season (it is the 50th anniversary of the Oktoberfest hamlet after all), will there be any changes to the show in comparison to last year?
I hope we get a bigger band. Adding a Trumpet like in the old days would really round out the sound and add a nice bright lead that can be clearly heard. An additional clarinet or the addition of a euphonium would also be nice. My heart would love more than anything to see the circular rising stage return but I'm not going to get too excited. The current stage cuts the room in half and we lose the 'in the round' performances the old stage was able to pull off.

Agreed, I think an additional 2 trumpet players can do wonders for the already nice 6-piece band they had last year. Not to mention, I would love to see them do two "versions" of the show like the original "This is Oktoberfest!" did once upon a time. One show can be exactly like the one we saw last year, and the other can be 100% German/Bavarian traditional songs and dances throughout. I don't think they'll do it, but it would be pretty sweet if they did.

I remember as a kid that they used the Alpine Horns to introduce "This is Oktoberfest!" back in the day. There was a recent vlog I saw of someone sitting at Das Festhaus and they have the entire "We Are Oktoberfest" set ready to go, which is a sign that the show is coming back. But I wonder why the park hasn't announced the date for it yet.

Is the one alp horn new? I think someone on this form would have recognized it if it has set in clear guest few for 15 years. I figure those are the original mounts they used for This is Oktoberfest
