1. I assume something happened during morning testing on Monday.
2. I believe she said it happened on Friday.
3. No and I strongly doubt we ever will. It's up way more than it's down but these full days of the ride just not opening is a serious problem.
4. I don't know if you've ridden it, but the problem seems to be the small drop after the drop track and right before the launch. Because the drop is so slow, you head naturally goes forward. As the back of the train is just finishing the hill, the front is already launching. This could, if you're not expecting it, really throw your head against the headrest. I have yet to have any luck holding my head against the headrest during that launch. Personally, I find it easier to keep my head locked in place in front of the headrest. In other words, focus on keeping your head away from the headrest instead of trying to force it against the headrest.

When I'm in the back of the coaster I usually tend to let my back strike the seat (as a flat plane) first. Everytime I've done that I have never had my neck snap back to the seat as all the energy seem to have been absorbed by the initial strike ( though come to think of it, it is possible I am unconciously locking my neck in position).

To be honest, people shouldn't have to develop a method of bracing for impact in order to enjoy a ride...

FYI: Verbolten broke down again today. I have no idea what it was for or how long it was for, but I was in line with some friends and they said there would be a delay. They ran each train a total of two times before a maintenance man came out and looked at something on the green train for a minute, then when to the control booth. On my way out, more maintenance people were coming in, along with park officials. I sat in line for about 20 minutes before leaving (being that I had somewhere to be). It looks like this one was an actual technical difficulty rather than any concussion related. Does anyone know any more info on the duration/cause of this down time?

Remember te ride is new and they have to practically write a troubleshooting guide as the issues arise.

Don't see where this has been posted but the Verbolten insider tour is now available to be booked starting this Saturday. Times are 11:30, 1:00, 3:00, and 4:30. Just booked mine! Woohoo! Hope they have worked out provisions for downtime issues!

one possible fix would be to let the train finish the drop out of the event building and delay that launch for a second or so. Not sure how practical that is with the launch mechanism there. I'm assuming it's possible.

I'm pretty sure you have to keep your head back during any launch on a launch coaster (my guess is that there are exceptions for backwards launches). I remember getting some whiplash on Volcano's launch when I first rode from keeping my head forward.

I found out today that Verbolten actually went down Sunday early evening and that it was for the same issue they had the last time, some problem with the drop track section. Both times they had to wait for parts to come in from Germany.
I was also told that there are areas in the event building where you can stand while the coaster is running for tours. One of them is next to the drop track.
