RE: Verbolten

So I know when we were relying more on rumors it was believed that the station would load two trains at a time. Then I thought as pictures came in that was proven incorrect. Am I missing something? If there are 8 A and 8 B lanes in the station then it seems that they would load two trains at a time. I havent seen any pictures of two trains in the station though I don't think. So is it two trains or one? If one, why are the A and B lanes?

RE: Verbolten

So if they load two would they launch the front one and hold the second right outside the station on that short straight away until all is clear?

Yep. That's how they're doing it.

BTW, the plan is to give people a "seat assignment" card (like B3) and that's the lane you board in. You'd give your card to the ride op upon boarding. No picking your seat.

RE: Verbolten

Has anyone heard if they plan any additional landscaping around the ride? It seems to me that a little too much is exposed and that it could really use some trees to hide the building / second launch track. Expedition Everest was lucky enough that bamboo fit the theme, as that stuff is amazing at hiding things you don't want seen. I hope something is done.

Not even for front seats? That's bound to piss people off.

Not even for front seats. It's the luck of the draw.

This has been the plan. I confirm every time I go (including today) if it still is the plan and I'm always told "yes, but it could change." They understand about the front seat issue, but they said the queue is just too narrow to try to accommodate long lines for the front (and back) row. We'll see...

RE: Verbolten

The row assignment method is done at most major attractions at Disney by a grouper employee who tells guests where to go. It seems to make lines move faster.

Thank you so much for the Verbolten updates on this site over the past months!
I noticed in this update you did not know about testing on May 5th. I was at the park and can confirm it was testing with empty trains at around 4:00 pm in light rain. It started to rain harder at around 6 and I did not see any action, but I was also in a rush to get out of the rain so I might have just missed it.

RE: Verbolten

I'm really against this idea. I get it for MT since it's the same ride in every seat, but to use that system on a roller coaster where people have always had their preferences on where they want to ride. They got to find a better way for people to get their videos and sit where they want to.

RE: Verbolten

That's how they do it with rock n roller coaster, and I got put in the front row. It was the 1st time I had ever rode a launching roller coaster, scared me to death D:

Might make the line move faster but it sure isn't going to make people happy.

You're darn right it's not gonna make people happy. I'll admit, I'm pretty picky about where I sit on rides, so this is my worst nightmare. I can see how they did it with Griffon because that is only a three-seater. I am very surprised at a move like this with a several-rowed car. It does not make me happy one bit. For me, it's front seat or last seat. Let's hope they'll change it soon. I don't mean to rap on BG, but that's a pretty big letdown for me. :-/

It can't make the line move that much quicker. If the train always has people in it and someone is waiting behind to ride next I don't see why the seats need to be assigned. I wonder if the only reason for this is the onboard video system. If it is then that really makes me mad cause it's the park causing headaches just so a few people buy that video.

RE: Verbolten

This is more than likely temporary to deal with the long lines this summer. I imagine on slow days and in the future it will change. Plus you have a 25% chance to get a front or back seat.

RE: Verbolten

I absolutely hate the idea, but I can understand why they are doing it... Now, I would be in full support if they had a grouper just to pair up single riders, but it sounds like they are just assigning everyone rows... Hopefully this will only last as long as they have like 5 million hour waits
