So I was reading through the thread (which has gained about 3 pages since the last time I read it - about 20 hours ago) and noticed all of the people who are saying they are going to camp out at the gate the day V-Bolt opens. I don't exactly see the sense in this, being that you're going to be waiting longer there than if you were to get there when it opens and wait in line at the ride. Plus, if you wait outside the park, there really isn't much to see - with waiting in line at V-Bolt you can see the ride running and the massively themed queue. Just sayin. Unfortunately I already signed up for a KD trip that day, so I'm not going to be there either way :(

Verbolten is not a prototype, this company has made coasters before and has made a good one or two, so they know a little bit more of what they are doing, this helped get them through the issues they have had so far. Plus with a counter on their site, I am sure they are going to open.

I hate when people compare the two rides and assume things will repeat especially when it happened for a first time, it's like one late ride opening and the park has a bad reputation for opening rides late.

Verbolten is more of a prototype than Mach Tower was.

The only thing new about Mach Tower was the ...rumbling, or whatever the hell it does, at the top of the tower. There are others which are otherwise exactly like it. Moser are not a new company, they have made hundreds of thrill rides. There drop towers and bouncers are everywhere. There's one at BGA.

Verbolten however... Zierre's first freefall drop coaster and only their second major coaster. First freefall coaster in the world with launches.

It's not the park who are making things late, It's the obscure manufacturers they keep going to who don't have that much experience with the ride type they are asking for, after years of going to the one company who don't ever make a mistake. So it just looks kinda bad after such a good previous record. That's all.

The opposite thing happened at Thorpe Park when they finally went back to B&M. Whilst Swarm has had some problems (all coasters, especially new ones, do) it's been no where NEAR like Saw, Stealth and their two most recent flats by S&S were with downtime. Saw's opening day was an absolute disaster. So to finally have a second reliable ride on park is like, wow.

It's just whatever you're used to. If you guys have had pretty faultless B&Ms as the new toys for years, Mach Tower and Verbolten's troubles, however minor, look poor. That's far from unreasonable.

You contradicted yourself, saying Mach Tower is just another drop tower with one new effect is like saying Verbolten is just another coaster with a new feature.

I will make one correction and that is both rides could be considered a prototype. However, Moser had less of an idea of what they were doing than Zierer. After all, who would test a ride with out the nessacary parts to catch it and stop it from crashing??

One ride does not make a record. The park still has a good record for opening rides on time, but everyone ignores that just because one rise opens late, big whoop, the park should still be in good standing. Now if Verbolten opens late, that sets up the park for a bad reputation. It doesn't start it but it does start to make the park look bad.

Point being, don't expect Verbolten to open like Mach Tower.

The Blue train look much slicker then I imagined with the [edit] yellow stripe. Now that I see it up close I kinda wish they would have done a little more with it.

Great photos! Just noticed the gas caps on the trains. Wish the decal on the blue train was white, the yellow looks kind of strange there. But I like the yellow on the orange train.

Amazing how close this is to the themeing stuff we saw months ago, especially the station. I love that hanging conveyor belt.

I'm going to guess the yellow building behind the lockers is a merchandise storage area or a new area office for merch or ops, the blank board is for photo/video prices, and that you are correct about the station platform being added for evacuation purposes.

Great update. For the picture of the Franciscan Monk drinking beer, there is a brand of beer known as Franziskaner (owned by InBev and pretty popular during Oktoberfest as its brewed in Munich), and in fact that image of the monk rubbing his belly and drinking is the logo: http://longstreet.typepad.com/.a/6a00d83542d51e69e2011570b19fd8970c-500wi
