[split] Eagle's (Caribou?) Nest

Just spoke to the V-man under the umbrella. No word on a soft open. Said all 5 cars/ colors will be ready for May 18.

RE: Verbolten

Well most soft openings (not including media days) are spur of the moment... Usually when maintenance has cleared the ride in the middle of the day and they open it for a few hours... That's good that they are still looking at may 18

RE: Verbolten

Looks like they're running trains continuously now. Trying to upload videos. No sign of old yellow yet.

Looks like there are 4 more hours of water dummy testing, then some lucky people working get to ride it for 12 hours, then the park management. (According to legit looking guy in busch gardens clothes observing testing.)

RE: Verbolten

As already mentioned, the testing is running very frequently today. All but the Yellow train are running and if you stand at the bridge you will see one per 30 secondsish

RE: Verbolten

Everything looks amazing! And sounds beautifully smooth! Took some vids, no sign of ol yellar from this end either

RE: Verbolten

Ok, so what we have been told about the timing is completely wrong. The ride is not 90 seconds because it takes 80 seconds in the building. I timed it myself and have proof.

Also, the Yellow train is in the maintenance bay and the maintenance people who were outside of the station near the curve denied any incident. They said "we can only tell you what you can already observe" and "All has been going fine, no incidents or anything."

RE: Verbolten

I was also there today, and it runs super quiet. They were cycling them pretty fast. Of course the cycle time will be a bit slower with real people boarding. I had to stop watching though because it was such a tease. Can't wait to ride.

Well Wikipedia and RCDB list the ride duration as 3:25 but the OFFICIAL site says 90 seconds in more then one place. I'm more willing to believe the official website, although I'd love it to be the longer duration, as 30 seconds in the event building (including the drop) doesn't leave much time for any show elements beyond the most basic; such as cutouts, sound / lighting effects and possibly fog machines. Not that I'm implying you're lying but maybe something else is happening here for testing.

Also, IDK if anyone posted this but Busch Gardens is letting everyone know that testing is currently underway:

RE: Verbolten

I was there today and did some timing tests. The time from leaving the train actually leaving the station to the final break I timed at 2 mins 12 secs. The time inside the building was 1 min 6 secs. These times are subjective to when I hit the start and stop buttons, but you get the general idea, about 2 minute ride with 1 minute inside the event building. The ride itself looks so smooth and it's so quiet, without anyone on it you don't even know it's operating. The final turn going into the station looks great, can't wait to actually ride this thing!
