It does kind of stink that from now till May 18 Is pretty much going to be a waiting game since almost everything is in place for the coaster.

I'm going to guess there may be a little news to talk about between now and May 18th...

How wrong I was.

With this in mind it's gonna be no news from now on ::D

RE: Verbolten

Had lunch with BGW management member and member indicated that Verbolten has not been turned over to the park and that the earliest park employees can ride will be nexxt Monday. Member also said to look for soft openings before May 18th.

ZIERER delivers Vertical Drop coaster to Virginia
In February a coaster with Vertical Drop element was shipped to Williamsburg Virginia/USA. The new ride of the leisure park Bush Gardens is called Verbolten Car and is planned to be inaugurated in May 2012. In the USA the coaster is highly promoted and the visitors are wishfully looking forward to it. The rail network is 900 meters long and looks a bit like the Schwarzwald. Altogether the coaster has 16 seats and reaches a top speed of 90 km per hour. Winding sections do not only create accelerating power but also lateral force. In the Vertical Drop element the passengers experience a free fall of two meters. For Wolfgang Brück, managing director of ZIERER, the project is one of the most challenging jobs of the last years. The concept for the ride has just been presented in August 2010. The engineering began in November of the same year, the assembly in March 2011. Until its opening in May 2012 four or five employees of ZIERER supervise the ride on site.

Just something I found while looking around the Internet, though the translation they used leaves much to be desired. What's in bold is what I found interesting, BTW. Anyway, who can't wait for Verbolten Car?!?

RE: Verbolten

^^ Can't wait to make my annual trip to Williamsburg and take in some leisure at BG.

Seriously, I'm stoked about this ride. The event building is going to be crazy.

RE: Verbolten

I bet that free fall drop is going to be surprising, even for us. I have not ridden Thirteen before, so I can't wait. In fact, of all the awesome things this ride is going to offer, that is what I'm looking forward to most.
