To be honest, those Social Media Events aren't really that spectacular. They are interesting, but not that amazing.

This is crazy talk. Absolute Bananas.

I would LOVE to be invited to an exclusive event, and really see it as an honor to those who are.

RE: Verbolten

This should be very easy to confirm as if a man was thrown from a vehicle due to an accident like that it would be all over the news due to police and paramedic reports. The fact that none of this has appeared makes me question how the park could keep something like this out of the news...

You would think so, but since it /just/ happened it could very well be kept under wraps for now. I'm sure we will learn the true extent of everything later today.

Well, nondisclosure agreements are good at keeping people quiet.

Not sure the police or fire personnel go for that sort of thing. By the way officer this is a big ride and we don't need news of this unfortunate accident getting out right. Would shock me if anything like that proved to be true, if that's the case I think news stations monitor these reports and put two and two together. Accident at busch gardens personnel on site, let's see what this is about

Why would cops be involved? Someone was injured, nothing illegal happened.

Police and/or fire paramedics. Pretty sure a non disclosure agreement would not apply to either. Don't know if police would have to show up or not but something illegal doesn't need to occur for them to be brought on scene. If they weren't then I'm wrong but the paramedics would still be notified which would necessitate a call and report.

That would be the best explanation, if something happened I would think something would come across the wire today

NDA's can actually permit you from saying ANYTHING. If/when something goes wrong at the park, it is not an employee's job to tell the media about the situation. They have departments that handle that specifically. Now, it just happened a few hours ago. It will take time to get out. Again, we will know more once the park says something (if anything) about the situation. We will also continue to get info on what happened and of course update as we can.

This is a truly dreadful occurrence (if true). I hope that the best can be made out of this situation and that all injured, coaster or human, make a full and quick recovery.
I agree with Alpenghöst and is a bummer to here this and it's going to be a small setback for the park.

Also they will be down one train when they finally open the coaster after they fix anything that was damaged and they do some more testing mainly the block break in question. Do I see them opening up Verbolten on time as planned, it's hard to say. It all determines what damage was done, like damage track, control system/show electrical and show scenes. If no major damage was done other that the train, I can see them opening up on time, but without the yellow train.

RE: Verbolten

How in the world would the winch truck be anywhere on the path of the track? I had to google 'winch truck' in order to see how they look. Pretty much a semi with a flat-bed type back end. Perhaps there are other types. Just hard to see how it could position itself over or close enough to the track to allow Yellow to collide with it.

I hope its not true. However if it is, how sad.

RE: Verbolten

This incident oddly reminds me of the painted who died painting BBW after a coaster train collided with him. I think it's a conspiracy.

However, I had a feeling once a date was set something would happen during testing. I can see the GP relating it Mach Tower now. This saddens me greatly.

I hope everyone and thing is okay in enough time for opening.

Also, just thought I'd throw this in since it has some relevance. I saw a truck crash into a yellow cement pole a little while ago. It did extreme extensive damage cosmetically. I think with that image in my mind I can creat an image of the truck crashing at verbolten.

RE: Verbolten

I do have to say that either it is real and we have "The Curse of the Big Bad Wolf" on our hands, or just some phony story by a construction worker trying to make his day sound more exciting... If it is real, how much damage the support has will determine how long of a wait until it opens... Btw, I have a hard time believing that they would have the truck so close to the ride so that the train could hit it... It would have had to have been basically touching the track for these trains to hit it... Either way, I am going today to do some investigating myself

And the last thing I will say is that if this is true, we should not see May 18 in the park as this could set them back... This would be the first thing to change.

RE: Verbolten

With all the theming inside the building right now that is probably why the truck was so close. Remember they have all the construction equipment in there also so space is highly limited. Also whoever was the idiot to do straps instead of for say chains could have easily prevented the so accident that occured if true. Chains are able to pull a heavier load and straps not so much. I could have seen this accident be easily prevented.

RE: Verbolten

No offence to the guy who originally posted this, but traditionally on the forums, people who join the forums then their first post or two claims to have very big news, the info is usually false... I am not denying it happened, as it is possible, but I just have a hard time believing it
