RE: Verbolten

Well they are saying may... But then again, they said may for MT, but I'm not going 2 go into that again... And who knows, maybe they set the official opening date for the Friday before memorial day, but open it sooner (like griffon)

RE: Verbolten

I'm guessing the weekend of Memorial Day or so. Aquatica Texas is opening the week before Memorial Day (May 19th) and Manta at Seaworld San Diego is opening May 26th.

RE: Verbolten

The queue is fine uncovered, the area hasn't been landscaped yet and when the trees grow in, they will provide shade and I would bet if there were trees throughout the queue, they could make it look like a forest of some sort. Nothing to worry about.

As for opening dates, it is opening in May, who cares what specific date, at least we have a more specific month now. It is a lot better than saying Late Spring which could go into June.

Sorry for the double post, people need to seriously get over MT's delay. IT is not that big of a deal, so what one ride, its not like the park has a bad running track record of late opened rides.

RE: Verbolten

will they be telling a story in the regular line, or will they only be telling a story in the quick queue line?? also if they have a story for both lines, will it be the same story?

RE: Verbolten

Pretty sure quick queue won't go through the main story part of the line. It looks like quick queue might take a quick turn after going through the entrance, rather than continue into the queue line that passes through Gunter's office.

RE: Verbolten

Does anyone know if there is going to be a gate at the end of the bridge that swings out or anything to that effect? The concept art in all of the ads suggest that, and I noticed Brian (in InPark Magazine's interview) mentioned "Verbolten crashing through an old wooden bridge and dropping down to the river." This might have been brought up before, but I was just wondering being that many things point to it.

RE: Verbolten

Are the working lights for the trains still a possibility? They didn't mention anything in the YouTube video and I haven't heard anything on the forum for a while.

There are no effects on the bridge.

When I asked Larry Giles, he said they were working on it.(with a laugh)

You were told correctly. They weren't originally in the design but someone thought it would be a good idea to add them.

It was speculated that there would be, but there was never any confirmation from park officials.

is there any pics of the queue?

There's plenty on the main site.

As for the queue, it is quite a bit longer than the Wolf's. When you think about it, rides don't use their whole queues very often at Busch. they'll probably have to set up a temporary queue for high-traffic days over the next year or so but after that, the queue they have is more than enough. When was the last time you saw Alpengeist's queue use all of those outdoor switchbacks? I've never once seen them anywhere near full.

Well they also have to finish the theming elements (I would guess this will be done in a month or so) then after that, they want to do more testing to make sure the show pieces work... All the time... Then they will have to train the ride ops and then they will be ready to open... May is a good, safe bet by the park for when it should open... I am going to guess early may at this point because they are moving swiftly along

On a random note, what do you think the ride spiel is gonna be? Some of the rides have some cool ones so I wonder if this one's gonna be extra special...
