I hope they don't keep that white fencing around the red crashed car. It looks ridiculous. Everything else looks nice though.

They won't. The white fencing was to keep the public back away from the ride area.

RE: Verbolten

Are they going to make the entrance to the tunnel-launch scene more of a tunnel instead of just a facaded wall.....or just leave the tunnel as the way it is and think no one would notice it's just one wall with no other walls behind it?

RE: Verbolten

I know this is a very miniscule detail but the my main compliment so far about this ride is that the queue was built into the ride. My main point is, they left the tree in the queue. Usually we see newly planted trees but with this, the queue will look older and will join the area seemlessly. Now I don't really get how this small little inn is placed in front a massive a-frame, but whatever.

Anyway, I <3 the tree.

RE: Verbolten

From the concept art from the HHT, it looked like they plan on growing some trees and stuff around there to hide all of that. I think they plan on planting a lot of plants on the way to the tunnel from the station.

So, to clarify, yellow train does not say Larry Giles anymore on either end.

Probably a little inside joke that BGW personnel or Zierer did to Larry.
I figure once the joke was over, they installed the tags that were agreed upon.

RE: Verbolten

Pictures look great, Swift! The panoramics are nice.

I'm glad to see all the planned themeing coming together. I agree that Gunter's orange bug looks a bit bizarre on that truss and what is that tarp on top of it?

I hope we see, as work continues, the waterfall get either removed or replaced, the visible footers painted (especially the ones on the water), and perhaps something done about the floating footers. I can just picture guests pointing going "look at that...its not safe." I really hope the station gets that overhead conveyor belt of car parts, that looked so darn cool.

I think they should make the whole building like that..

RE: Verbolten

I love the pictures that were on TPR. He took some very good pics of trains, the bridge and the station. The ones that liked the most, were the trains and the close-up of the blue train in the station. I love to see mechanicals and the electricials. One thing I can say is Busch and Zierer out did themselves on this coaster.

RE: Verbolten

Fun Fact: (according to the Q & A person) The wrecked car up front is a real wrecked car they bought from a towing lot in Germany!
Also, I really hope they fill in some trees throughout the ride area--it looks so cheap and empty... :dodgy: Otherwise, Verbolten will ROCK! :D

Yeah... BTW, I could make out yellow's tags to say BRD GOUT... bridge out

RE: Verbolten

A friend said that she talked to the people outside of bolt yesterday. They are going to be offering a tour of bolt which includes going inside the building while the coaster is operational. It will also include (what I assume is) a QQ ride on bolt. This would be great to confirm if somebody can go next weekend.

RE: Verbolten

I have a question for everyone. Does the picture below look like the blue train has a damaged bumper or not. I wonder if it was designed like that or it hit something when placing it on the track or whatever.

and looks like they did change the plates for the yellow train. The front doesn't say Larry Giles.

I think someone put it on upside down. :p

RE: Verbolten

Looks like they haven't finished the trains yet, as those don't have any stripes and the blue one looks like it has some random stickers on it.
