RE: Verbolten

The camera always adds ten pounds, and makes things 150 feet further away...

Does anyone know if they've progressed into full testing where they have all five trains running the circuit or do they still need the special effects put in before that begins?

RE: Verbolten

I actually like the queue house. I like how they're taking inspiration from the forest. The only problem I have with that is that I don't think that the GP will notice all the detail that goes into the area around them. Yes, some members of the GP do notice theming (my mom's favorite park is Busch Gardens for that very reason,) but I doubt she'd notice everything.

Also, there are those gnomes in the teaser video that have been bugging me. If you look in the background and such, there are gnomes EVERYWHERE. This confirms that the gnomes in the video were NOT just a stupid joke and we are seeing them on the ride. But where? Do you think they're just in the queue house to look nice or will we see killer lawn gnomes in the building? Because I never really thought of gnomes as Bavarian (the only think I've ever seen linking gnomes to Germany was a book I read set in Germany where one character was really careful with his lawn gnome), so is there something I'm mising? These gnomes have been bugging me for a while and I'd sort of like to know what they're for.

On a side note, if we do see them, it's because somebody probably threw it out as a joke at a meeting or something and they decided "meh, why not?" and they're being goofy and adding an army of killer lawn gnomes with torches and pitchforks or something. It would be funny, I'm just wondering if they'd actually do that. Because that could NOT have been thought of as something serious to add to the ride.

RE: Verbolten

The GP may not notice all the individual details but they do notice the entire package.

I doubt there will be gnomes on the actual ride.

RE: Verbolten

there aren't gnomes on verbolten....butttt....there will be gnomes in entwined... :p

RE: Verbolten

The GP WILL notice the heavier theming. Once they are waiting in line they will take it all in. After that point they will begin to wonder why the others are not themed to that degree making newer rides of this style themed higher also. It is a great play by SWP&E to step up game in a very subtle manner.

I could be wrong, but i'm pretty fairly certain they installed the roof of the bridge today. I saw a large crane in the air today, which I haven't seen in a long time. There really isn't anything else they would need a big crane for, and my friend who works at Busch said he saw a crane heading over to the site over the weekend (he thought the roof would be added sometime this week).

I agree. All the GP cares about is really ridding the coaster. The only ones that care about any details is us the fans of the park or coaster enthusiasts.

Yeah! Btw, I was looking over the brave the black forest videos, the car in the video has a license plate that says BG-VA 1... Do you think this could be the license plate on one of the trains?
