RE: Verbolten

I don't try, it just happens. Its what happens when I get the floor :p Mine is at least broken down, there is only like two paragraphs dedicated to one thing, one for another and forth. If you think about it, it's not that long.

Please don't ask about germany train stations or ride durations, those are dumb questions...

Sorry, I just saw a lot of speculation on here and figured that if the questions were asked that it might possibly put an end to any debate. Wasn't trying to annoy anyone with what I'm going to assume is a sore topic (I'm new and don't have time to read through 170 pages, so I apologize if I'm beating a dead horse)?

How many of you read these REAALLY long posts that some people write on this forum *cough*partyrocker-skippy*cough*?

I dont.

Awesome, thanks for your contribution to this thread. Totally informative and not the least bit condescending to anyone. FYI, what I wrote were responses to other member's posts and therefore directed towards them. Your feedback wasn't warranted.

RE: Verbolten

I think the train station is just off topic, however ride duration doesn't seem too dumb or annoying. Its just like one member of the GP asking the name.

RE: Verbolten

I wasn't trying to attack you personally, it's just that there are so many more important questions that could be asked than ride duration.

RE: Verbolten

What I meant Gavin was that if we start taking time from where the ride starts (out of the station for a launch coaster, at the top of the lift hill for a gravity coaster) there is no contradiction.

Also....BGWFansite is totally blowing us out of the water. Who's giving us OUR pics? ;)

Guess we could ask the park for some and then just sit back and wait.

RE: Verbolten

Still, the park is a company, and bladently ignoring an email (not even a "Please kindly f' off" response) is just plain wrong. But whatevers, now it's sitting in both Cindy Sarko and Carl Lum's inboxes for them to deal with.

They took the idea posted here about flying a helicopter. Someone asked them how they got it, their reply was, "you know how they approve low fly zones in Europe in the air? It's kinda like that"

So yeah, that's who. Plus they probably have people riskier on the inside that any of our sources.

RE: Verbolten

Actually, for the record, we've gotten leaked off-season pictures of things in the past and we've almost always decided not to post them because we don't want to do anything that could potentially cost our sources their jobs. If they did get them via a leak, I'd be running and hiding if I was the person who passed them along. Pictures are much too easy to trace- especially if not handled right.

RE: Verbolten

Or like Chris said, the park passed them a few pictures before the HHT for them to send out to those who follow them. To help build a little hype before the event. Nothing special guys, move along.

RE: Verbolten

I agree with Chris and AoenOne that we need to just wait for those who are going on HHT post their pics or videos on the different sites like behindthethrills.com, or themeparkreview.com and this one of course.

Park PR Departments keep in contact with groups like that to get the word out on new attractions all the time when it benefits them. I think that the park wanted to do something different this time. Most parks normally let one fan group in to see what is going on during the course of construction and others take a lot of pictures during the construction of an attraction.

I also agree with Gavin's point here.
Still, the park is a company, and bladently ignoring an email (not even a "Please kindly f' off" response) is just plain wrong.
I think that he should've gotten some sort of response even a basic one would've work and it would've been professional thing for them to do. But, I can also understand this person's point of view that Gavin sent email to. Since they receive a lot of emails from coaster and theme fan groups all the time and they tend to get ticked off a little about the same old questions on a new attraction or new shows, so they just ignore these emails or delete them. But, some of these people out there are that work in a Park PR departments aren't really coaster or theme fan group friendly or they just don't care about them and think are type group is filled with a bunch of nerds. What they don't realize that these groups can be free advertizing for them when they need them to be.

RE: Verbolten

Wow Skippy, didnt think my post about long posts would be taken so negatively. That wasnt my goal. It was more like a joke. Anyway, I repent in dust and ashes.

RE: Verbolten

It's not something that's unexpected though. The park is reasonably upset about the plans getting out. Not getting media invites in the future was expected. Companies do that kind of stuff all the time. No worries.
