Well look who we have here.
I did get to "ride" Europe in the Air after it opened, and I was so disappointed. Corkscrew Hill was great- what a step down. I really appreciate the effort to have certain elements of the BBW in Verbolten, though, especially with the Rhine drop and the "wolf xing" license plates- I hope there's a wolf somewhere in that event building.
I haven't seen the Festhaus in a couple years, or ridden Mach Tower, but it seemed like they did a typical BGW approach when they themed it the best they could and then added something unique to it, which is what they seem to do with all major attractions they build. I hope Verbolten gives the park some of its charm back. It seems to have lost a bit of it recently.
Can't wait for those pictures from the HHT to come out.

I am really interested in seeing the Hard Hat Tour update, as well as hopefully seeing the site myself within the next week or two.

Well they said they added 5 more spots because there was over 100 really good emails, so maybe you were their 11th choice, that would suck though to know you were just that close.

Yep. They didn't want to read the emails so they just did that. Most of the people proably won't even post pictures.

^I agree with the whole random thing. That's what they did with their whole first riders on Mach Tower thing too. Who knows though, maybe one person will drop out and open a spot for that 11th person...

True, that could happen. However, I think they have a different style for picking fans when it comes to Social Media events vs. things like these contests. I think the frequent posters get the social media invites since they seem to be the most worthy to go
But as for the special contests, they see to be randomly selected, they don't care who wins type of thing.

I really wish that a coaster enthusiast was on that list! We could have settled a few debates with well placed questions. And some of those thank you posts of the winners made it look like we'll be in for a whole lot of nothing from this tour.

That's what I'm saying! It scares me a bit, but a few did say they would be taking lots of pictures, and I'm sure we will get some, maybe not a whole album but some. Plus, I am sure the park will be doing their own photo/video/report update as well. Any chance they are going inside the event building? I would love pics of the inside of it, if themeing is being put together.

There'll be good coverage. It won't be directly from BGWFans, but you can count on the fact that it'll be good.

It's completely obvious that the park pick randomly as people posited earlier. What's annoying is that I'm sure some people actually did put some time and thought into the emails, thinking it would make a difference. It's just more of the same from the marketing department. There are two possibilities, either a person that uses "kant" instead of can't was randomly picked, or the person reading the emails is a moron.
