RE: Verbolten

They just said top speed is like 50-53mph, I forgot the exact number. I keep seeing 50, 51, and 53 everywhere. Anyways, you would think the launch would propel you to max speed. I agree with Swift about the turns. Look at Groover at it's turns; yeah it goes slow but the turns aren't as banked, except for after the drop maybe. Just imagine Groover's turns but on a larger more banked scale.

A couple of angles I haven't seen before, thought I would share.

RE: Verbolten

Maybe inside the event building on Verbolten you will go as fast a Groover's Alpine Express goes :p They are very similar in ways ;)

RE: Verbolten

Not as old as the one for I305 in KDfan forum site, it has 300+ plus pages on one ride. So, that's why I agree with Gavin's point.

RE: Verbolten

So you go into what appears to be a tunnel entrance at 50+ mph into the building, factor in the angles of the turns and the length of the track plus any braking done, or any major friction. What do we get?

RE: Verbolten

*takes a break from The Old Republic*
*reads this thead*
*sighs a little*
*goes back to playing The Old Republic*

So we can get this thread in a legit direction, what is the one thing you're looking forward to about this ride? For me it's the theming.

A highly-themed, multi-sensory experience.... Lightning bolts, elaborate sets, a tribute to the Big Bad Wolf, complete with special effects only seen by Universal/Disney. Not to mention the steep banks and sudden drops you'll take in the dark. The Black Forest has finally struck back when guests are then taken by surprise by a vertical drop in the dark, caused by uneven ground and a mysterious wolf-related curse. As you head out of the forest, you hit the gas pedal in terror of the experience you just faced, only to pass signs telling you of a broken bridge. Once you find out, it's too late and you plunge over a broken bridge, narrowly skimming the Rhine. The finish includes high-speed turns, finishing back in the celebration of Oktoberfest!

Basically the coolest thing the park's done since Apollo's Chariot.
