RE: Verbolten

Anyone know if Alton Towers paid Intamin for exclusive rights to Intamin's drop track? Seems like something they'd do...

Interesting thought: I wonder if Blackstone paid Zierer for the exclusive rights to use the drop track for a certain number of years. It has happened before.

If that's the case, then it would be for America only. Polar X-Plorer at Legoland Billund is an upcoming Zierer with a drop track.

^what's that supposed to mean pandorazboxx ?
swift stated earlier that he didn't want to hear any conversation over the forums on getting into the park in any way. warnings or possible bans will be sent out.

RE: Verbolten

Getting into the park legally bud. It's different. He stated illegally which I do not condone. If the park is opening for a job fair wouldn't that be them inviting people in ?? Not people breaking or sneaking in?

RE: Verbolten

I don't care if you do it, just don't talk about doing it here- it's off topic and ends up throwing the thread into a state of chaos.

I meant that you didn't read earlier in this thread when people spent a few pages talking about doing just that and going in on the job fair day to try to get pictures. Probably just skipped past it, no big deal.

On the 14th of this month there will be a job fair and access to employee parking lots. Sounds like the perfect opportunity for someone to get pictures!!!

sounds familiar, maybe because it was brought up earlier and that it was also denied. there is nothing in the parking lots, except roman rapids tubes, some trams, storage containers, and a few random non-exclusive verbolten parts. and then even when you do go back to the festhaus, you won't see anything unless they are themeing the sides of the building or the green wall has come down by now by roto baron.

all in all, you won't get a good look at anything, and no good exclusive pictures.

now back to costs, i think that since verbolten in specific has many "firsts", surprises, special effects, and extreme detail, that all adds up to be pretty expensive, and then you saw the pictures of those massive footers, imagine having to use all new ones, even more expensive.

now back to marketing, there is no need to do anything until march, in fact this is the "dead time" of the year where no marketing need be done (other than maybe their facebook page), all that is really going on, is a few small minor tweaks to the park, annual maintenance, and the construction of verbolten. only one of those is big, and we won't know anything about anything going on, unless it is from some team member doing on the job training, and even then, it will probably be march by then. march is when marketing is really put into gear and is when i expect to see the park starting to come back to life with training and marketing for a fresh new year.

showing commercials,

Which ones? I wouldn't expect them until late February/march mainly because that's when theme parks start ads for the regular season

RE: Verbolten

i say march because they have no need to market now, if they market now people who are clueless about the park will think it is open, the GP is a confusing group. if they don't open until march, then wait till march to hype up everyone, as for construction pictures, those are the only things that really should be post to facebook, but really, they don't need to post ads, show commercials, or anything else for that matter. hyping up a ride tht people can't ride until 3 - 2 months from now is too long, late february/early march is when i expect to see the marketing start up.
