RE: Verbolten

On the last pic I looks like the track comes out of the building at a curved angle... This should be fun because I also see a set of LIMs after the exit!!!!

RE: Verbolten

So going into the event building, there will be a tunnel then you launch into the building right? What's inside this tunnel?

RE: Verbolten

So I'm guessing that the plan is to finish the layout by the time Christmas Town is over, finish the station and event building's theming, and add the bridge? And are there any trains on site?

RE: Verbolten

I've heard that there are some shipping crates:) um Christmas tine stuff should be in storage crates...I think these are trains:)

The camera is a Samsung W200. I cannot upload all pictures tonite, but I can upload a couple, here they are! NOTE: Some pictures are zoomed in and a bit blurry. Thank you, ans please have a wonderful day, here at BGW Fans. lol

Do you mind if I use lone or two of your photos for what I've been doing bud...these are great..and I'm so glad the drop is as steep as I was hoping and by the looks of it...there is going to be a nice fast low to the water left to right transition before climbing up the hill to the station...

RE: Verbolten

Just realized something: Although Verbolten is to have relatively low speeds, it has a lot of sharp turns and banks, so it will feel fast. As a lot of you remember, BBW had only a 48 mph max speed, but due to the close turns, it felt way more intense. I think we should expect a faster feeling on Verbolten than on BBW due to the max speed being a little higher (5 mph more), and there being more sharp turns than BBW (mostly in the event building).

RE: Verbolten

If you go on youtube and type verbolten just go down until you see 12/22/11 update and they have a video in it of the tunnel.

RE: Verbolten

And anyone who's been there multiple times during Christmas town...have they been doing any track work while the park has been open...I'm afraid we won't get to see completion by this weekend with the park being open everyday this week...sucks but we might have to relie on BGW to give us the completed circuit in picture, video format...oh well...

RE: Verbolten

They have been working from what appears to be he break of dawn to about an hour or so into Christmas Town each day. So we can expect some work to be done over this week. Probably not full circuit though.

There are two shipping containers that are heavy duty locked, I assume the trains are in there, what else needs to be heavy duty locked? Also, Entertainment stuff is stored in plywood crates type things. So it definitely is not Entertainments thing.

just been using them with paint and other photoshop like programs....just a hobby of mine...coaster design and then putting an animated coaster in a picture to see how realistic i can make it...the ones ive done on here are just paint to see what the completed layout will look like...nothing that goes past this site or my pc screen :p

It's really hard to judge the steepness in the pics but IMO it doesn't look like it will be all that steep. if you look at the 5th pic you can see the breakover into the drop after the brakes and how it curves down. In relation to the vertical supports it doesn't look like it will be steep at all. And since it follows BBW's path I'm sure the degree of descent will be similar, which wasn't very steep at all.

RE: Verbolten

Trevor Bondi's Verbolten update is up: http://bgwfans.com/?p=1506

Sorry it took so long- that isn't normal. :-/

pretty sure somewhere 52 degrees was stated...not overly steep...but not shabby for a family coaster...

If it's 52° then it'll be fine. I wouldn't call it steep though. Seems like it could be similar to Expedition Everest drop out of the mountain which is about 80' tall and banks to the left as it bottoms out. I believe I read somehwere that EE's drop angle was around 50°.
