RE: Verbolten

I think TrevorBondi is right on how the drop will be. Before the plans were redacted I was looking at the plan sheet with the 4 rows each with the track height and banking but the track angle for the last drop was only like 52 degrees. It doesn't even look like it will have space to have a straight steep drop and then a sharp turn.... I was thinking the final drop would be like the drop after the helix in the event building.

Here's the bridge track topped off. From this angle, it looks as if there will be a steep drop or curved drop, however, when looked at from the side, there's still a bit of room left before the water.

can i butcher your photo in paint to give an idea of what i think the drop will look like? ...lol

RE: Verbolten

Also remember the track is pretty high up there. When looking at the plans (overview of the whole site (color coded)(before taken off site)) it showed were and what the supports looked like from over top. Well the supports for that section showed single supports. Not a- frame supports. it would be really unstable for it to stay up really high at fast speeds going around a turn on a single support. Even if its not fast speeds thats still dangerous and would be unsafe. So I think your going to make a decent plunge because it is showing that your "falling off a cliff" but then you hit a turn.

RE: Verbolten

I think the drop will be as steep as the concept art showed us, and I think that the turn will be like Skyrush's drop.

Sorry to bring this back up, but that video showed us those random gnomes at the beginning. Why were they there? And more importantly, are they going to be used in the building or do you think Busch Gardens was just messing with us? I knew that we would be seeing cars destroyed by vines from the theming video showing us the car that they were going to trick out to fight the vines and we knew about the drop, but why the gnomes? Also, did anybody catch what that yellow road sign (not a German one...LOL) at the beginning said?

RE: Verbolten

I tried to look at it and it kind of looks like rockslides.... I paused it where at the best, and it looks like the car on the left, and a pile of rocks on the right... Maybe the rocks at the bottom of the drop was an accurate theory!

RE: Verbolten

I put the video in full hd and still couldn't read it, but there were gnomes on the sign. It must have been like a warning or something.

I couldn't make out what it said, but I could tell that there were 2 gnomes on it

RE: Verbolten

newsies photo..thank you...

what do you think of this layout?

its going to be fairly steep, because of the single footers...no support footers from the drop out...ignore the track color...easier to to red and black than grey...

SLIGHTLY REDONE...

REMEMBER, ITS IN PAINT WITH LESS THAN 20 MIN OF WORK...

THINK THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE PHOTO, THE TRACK NEEDS TO BE COMING UP QUICKER FOR THE RETURN TO THE STATION...WHAT YALL THINK?

Man! I reall hope to see that drop completed or at least started when I go to ChristmasTown! Swiftman, I have a camera that is a little bit above average. Do you think my pictures could go on the main site?

RE: Verbolten

ok i can see it now, a father and son are walking across the bridge from san marco, and the kid sees this drop over to the left and says, "daddy, are we going on that?" and the dad says, "oh no, son, that would be too scary for you........." Then they go on Verbolten and come back and say they rode down that drop... I mean, it looks VERY fun. I always loved that drop on BBw because it just took its time, and there were plenty of g's....... awwww I miss it :(

RE: Verbolten

I had a birthday party a few years ago at bg, and one of my friends hadn't ever ridden a roller coaster before and I got him to ride bbw. After we got off, he said exactly that, "I rode that!?" I am sure that has happened lots of time on that bridge... I am so glad that they kept the drop over the Rhine

Sure! We're always looking for more construction updates. You can just email them (swiftman@bgwfans.com) along with what you want us to credit (your forum username, a Twitter account, or just about anything else).

RE: Verbolten

Haha, that sounds like such a FAQ question ^_^

I'm guessing they want to finish all the testing of the track before they put in any theming into the building. I'm still trying to rationalize why this ride is being built so freaking fast. THen again, I guess Wild Eagle is going up fast as well.

RE: Verbolten

becasue this is there first launch coaster. its the first coaster in the u.s.a. to have a drop track and well Mach tower was a complete waste. They want some room for delays in like weather, they can't get it to test correctly. and blah blah blah
