Someone said the lake was drained to work on the footers . Is this true ? And if so can someone post a pic

The plan was to lower the level of the lake between Hollowscream and Christmas town, perform the upgrades to the existing footers then return the lake to normal. By the look of the footers I'd say they accomplished this. There was a tremendous amount of specific work that had to be completed in that time period, from what I've been told it all went without any issues.

We could also be looking at supports like Great Bear, considering the fact that the ride was built to reuse as many of BBW's footers as possible. www.rcdb.com/468.htm?p=0

Doubt it.

The supports for Great Bear are unique because the park was forbidden to build any of the ride in that natural creek that runs through the park.

You said it in a clearer fashion then I did in my post. :D

RE: Verbolten

Verbolten was topped of when I went today. The flat bridge/brake segment was in place.

RE: Verbolten

Here's the bridge track topped off. From this angle, it looks as if there will be a steep drop or curved drop, however, when looked at from the side, there's still a bit of room left before the water.

RE: Verbolten

I think it will be a combination of a straight and curved drop... Like bbw had... Started out straight, then, as it leveled out, started to turn

Agreed. If someone takes another picture or pictures by the end of Christmas Town we will have idea how the rest will look like.

RE: Verbolten

It's likely that it will have a curved drop similar to Hershey Park's Skyrush. Here's a nice picture from the small community (me included!) of gadvoutpost that shows what we could kind of be looking at, just 120 feet smaller and to the left instead of the right.

GNARLY HANDS! Did you see them? ;)

Were they the things in the bottom right hand corner at 0:14? I didn't see them, actually. Also, this is probably the last video of that kind. THe other two have had road signs at the end that pointed to what was in the next episode, but this one just ended with the big drop, and there was no road sign that could point to any more hazards in the building.

From here, I could see the marketing for this ride go in one of two directions.

1. The park waits until the end of Christmas Town and once it's over, launches a teaser site that shows everything that the GP might not know.

2. I could see them waiting until the very last day of Christmas Town and releasing a long video with all of the information that is only available via QR code. However, I could see them putting this QR code somewhere really bizzare and making it hard to find (hanging on a board from Apollo's Chariot, on a giant poster on the side of Verbolten's building, in a queue line for a random flat ride, ect.) before updating the website's page on Verbolten and buying advertising on billboards and such.

I hope what I was saying made sense.

RE: Verbolten

Do you have any other pics of your verbolten creation? Please post them!!! (In the no limits thread of course!)

RE: Verbolten

also In that video when the car drove off the cliff the car angled pretty steep down. So that could mean a steep drop into a sharp a$$ turn.
