RE: Verbolten

Thanks for the awesome pictures bpmitchell! Also, you're more than welcome to link to your site if you wish.

EDIT: bpmitchell, someone posted your pictures to TPR and credited them to BGWFans instead of you. I replied to the thread stating that they weren't ours and giving you credit for them (with a link to your site) and they deleted my post. :-/

RE: Verbolten

I think that there will be support bars up in 6 days because they have some on the ground In the pictures.
P.s. Nice pics bpmitchell

This is why I don't go on TPR. You correct them and you get exiled.

Anyways, very nice pics bpmitchell! I want to see how this bridge turns out in the next month-month and a half.

My only thought is how steep that drop is going to be.

RE: Verbolten

it doesnt seem like there is enough room for the bridge before the drop. The track that they have so far constructed in that picture isn't even fully level to the part that should be the entrance to the bridge yet! Will the drop immediately fall into a curve? It seems that's all there will be room for, unless the perspective from that angle is deceiving....

Pretty much exactly what I was thinking.

It could be steep...or it could just be curved...

RE: Verbolten

it could be a steep drop to a turning drop. What going to exspecially interest me is the amount of g-forces this is going to produce. Could we see trim brakes on the drop like big bad wolf had?

RE: Verbolten

i was hoping for a drop similar to that old concept art with the yellow track that was one of the first things revealed to us. It was more of an air time-filled drop with a curve at the bottom......like the second drop on I305 just...you know, different. That was the only example i could think of....

RE: Verbolten

^ Well we don't even know how tall the bottom supports are going to be. For all we know (major exaggeration...), the top of the supports over the water could be half way between the water and the top of the drop... If that makes any sense

RE: Verbolten

well they better hurry with construction so that we can find out! it shouldn't take em that much longer to get there to at least give an idea.

RE: Verbolten

The supports leading down to the drop over the water are pretty much A shaped one goes almost straight down and one goes off to the side ( it is in pretty much the same shape it was when the previous photo was taken when I visited this weekend). Wouldn't most of the other supports be pretty much the same? In other words they should not have the same enviromental issues as Hershey had due to them having interruped that general area fror wildlife and such once before, and thus will not need the weird structuring.

RE: Verbolten

I hope they theme those big footers to look like rocks; they are complete eye sores...

Plus, it would be cool to fly off an old bridge into a pit of rocks.
