RE: Verbolten

I was actually being sarcastic, I know the park has no intention of marketing this ride, but I think RC spy planes are a bit much.

Newsie: Great find.

RE: Verbolten

^ You know, BGEscape found a real pilot to fly them over Griffon's construction. A small RC plane with a cheap camera on it is just a more economical option. ;)

Actually it would probably not cost too much for a helicopter ride...

If you could find a helicopter tour that would fly over to Williamsburg! I am still thinking that the rc plane is the most economical option... Plus, that quadracopter ( that $300 drone I was talking about earlier) since it requires wifi, would need to get wifi over to the area (why, oh why bg do you not have park wifi!)

Newsie- thanks... It think that drop section in the warehouse that was shone may be ours! Nice and black!

RE: Verbolten

OK... So I have seen some pretty crazy things happen on here but flying a rc plane over BGW just to get some images of Verbolten... Wow I am at a loss for words... All I can think of when I think about that is the Sand Lot movie... If someone actually tries this and either gets their plane confiscated or even returned with pictures I will be laughing for the rest of my life about it... This is the most hysterical thing I have ever heard of.

Please, Plan B would involve $10,000 in unmarked currency, a hacked server and node in China, the invasion of a small island country, an underground botnet comprised of Windows and Macs, 4 Concorde jets, and a really embarrassing photo of Carl Lum. And that's just phase 1.

RE: Verbolten

Honestly though.... I believe we have really seen all we need to see until it opens. Aside from Busch actually doing some marketing on this ride. I mean we have seen them build the inside of the ride and now all that's left is the small stuff from building to station which is mostly visible from the bridge. I know that it's really exciting to see the ride go up but I think that's a little over the top. I mean in reality you could probably take that $300 and get someone to fly over... I can't imagine it being over $500 but I guess that sort of takes the fun out of it.

It would be hilarious to see if it worked or not and then send Busch a picture with a smiley sticking out its tongue...LOL

It's all in good fun while we wait. I doubt anyone would put the time/money in to do anything discussed.

Though if it does happen, this would be a great addition to any photos taken.

RE: Verbolten

Not actually considering doing it? This is BGWFans! We have a record to uphold!

Seriously though, if I had $200 to waste, I'd totally do this.

RE: Verbolten

Why were all of the plans redacted and where can I still get them? I want to do a full re-creation in NoLimits...3d scenery and all. I figured out a way to do the drop too. But I don't know the exact specs now. Anybody got a link to them...or can send them to me?

RE: Verbolten

Don't know if anyone noticed this, but in the IAAPA video they kinda confirmed the fact that Verbolten is opening in April. (at about 11:49 in the video)

RE: Verbolten

I still want an airplane with a video camera on it... If i did make/buy one befor verbolten opens, I would probably not use it @ bg... I found the air hogs one in walmart yesterday, looks cool... BTW, for anyone who is wondering why we are talking about this, it is not because we want to see what it will look like, we already know that, we want construction updates the we know the park will not give us

The plans were removed in response to a DMCA takedown notice. They will not go back up, also, any links to them that are posted will be removed by mods. Not because I'm trying to be mean, but because I don't want the site to be considered a repeat offender and get permanently shut down.

RE: Verbolten

So it's a safety for now. By the way I think this bill being passed is total bull. It's totally unfair for sites like us with information and photos to not be allowed to post them; in fear of getting shut down because someone has a bug up their butt about us.

Couldn't agree more. Are coaster plans like nuclear power plant plans now? We will all know the damned layout and everything else in a few months. Do they think they are going to surprise anyone who is exited about the new coaster anyway?? We are all on sites like this, and we all KNOW every trick this pony has already. Oh well, I could have made the ultimate re-creation....theme art, 3d structures, and all. This bill is just another example of the cooperate mindset...and let's not forget who owns BGW now. Coaster take months...if not years to design and plan for...this coaster will open in 4 months. Who do they think will "beat them to the market" with it?? Just to be clear...I don't blame anyone here...you guys are great and helpful, and I understand why you took them down.

So, I'm NOW in the "remote controlled airplane with a camera" camp. :D
