RE: Verbolten

if you were on the Rhine river drop you would have the Oktoberfest-Italy bridge in the picture.

To me the angle looks a bit too high for that bridge.

Looks like they were on the bridge and zoomed in on the shot!

RE: Verbolten

Those Post Sticking up look very familiar... I just cannot place them though.

RE: Verbolten

Thanks... that was a big brain fart on my part. Anyway compare that photo to the one about halfway down on this page. it was the nearest perspective I could find in a short amount of time.

RE: Verbolten

You could've just asked me, lol. I have quite a few shots of the Rhine from my Droid that I just uploaded onto my comp for a screensaver theme. I had one of both trains in the loops which I wish I could find.

Here's another treat to pass on:

Both of these photos were taken by me. Please ask for my permission before copying, editing or any other sort of coaster related nonsense you want to do with them. Nah I'm fine if you take them, just please credit me if you post them elsewhere.

RE: Verbolten

I am assuming your first photo is from the bridge..and if that's the case then I guess you can get that angle from the bridge.

RE: Verbolten

I would say the best way to view Verbolten is from the Rhine River Cruise... You can look directly up to the drop section from down there

RE: Verbolten

Semi-update for Verbolten: I was in Kingsmill today and went back on the woods course road (right next to Busch) and saw there was a crane in the employee lot (confirming they have the next segments of track and are working on installation). I also caught a glimpse of the even building (looks really big!!) and saw that they have the frame of the building done, but the walls aren't on yet. I have a pic near the gate and you can sorta tell from it what I'm talking about (I'll post it later).

RE: Verbolten

From looking at the construction schedule again, we won't recognize the area that is the station when CT comes around.... Retail Building, Exterior Queue, outside track, will all at least have begun there by that time

RE: Verbolten

^ok. i can't wait to see more of this thing go up, especially since my home park is hershey and they seem to be doing next to nothing lately (skyrush construction is not a rush lol).

RE: Verbolten

I was unable to see what the color of the track was (the fences around there are at least 10-15 ft. tall and wood). Also, you can't even get behind the employee lot - that section of road says "Authorized Personnel Only" and even though I had two employees with me (regular season employees), we weren't going to chance it.

Also, does anyone know if Carter's Grove Country Road is accessible by anyone? And could you get all the way back to next to the employee lot is? I'm thinking of going on that road to try to take some pics of the track if I can. If not, oh well, it would be a scenic drive.

RE: Verbolten

I think you can... I followed the road on google maps from Ron springs rd to Busch... Not sure if you can see the track from the road

I figured I would just park on the side of the road and walk through the woods a little. I still have yet to go back there though.

Here is an interesting shot from the back gate of Busch Gardens. You can see the crane for Verbolten and a tiny part of the frame for the building in the picture.
