RE: Verbolten

I've been told that the walls on the event building are going up. I hope you all got your fill of the track inside the event building before Howl-O-Scream ended because that's the last time you'll ever get to see it like that.

I have a picture of the walls going up if you want it.

Also the old BBW station is ripped out and just supports linger. No walls.

Not doubting your credibility, but I was just wondering how you know this? Please do tell! Also, definitely share the pic!

I've been stuck on manta for about half an hour. i thought it was nice....haha

Getting stuck on Superman @ Great Adventure for 30 min was the most awkward feeling ever. I also got stuck on Mantis @ Cedar Point which wasn't that bad other than asking the lady in front of me for my hat.

Back on topic: This is this most indepth I've ever been with a coaster's construction. It really helps you understand and interpret how much actually goes into the making and designing of a coaster.

Can we get a look a some of the props that are going into the effects building if you have them Swift, Chris, Atlantis?

I agree fully. If we weren't posting this stuff, what would we know about the coaster? We'd have its logo and a short fact sheet that looked like it was thrown together at the last minute. That's not enough to "sell" a ride. People want information. We seem to be the only ones willing to provide it. If only the marketing department would start thinking about things a bit differently.

We have very little on the theming inside the event building. Basically all we have is posted to the main site (first leaked documents link in the first post).

RE: Verbolten

Okay, all I was really interested in was what they would be doing. Like some of the branches falling down giving you that "Oh my where gonna get killed by trees!" feeling.

RE: Verbolten

I honestly have no idea, sorry. I guess there's some things that we'll have to wait for the park on.

RE: Verbolten

I've already had a dream about this ride a few nights ago, that's how excited I am. Had my own virtual ride experience, and one of the most vivid things I remember was the indoor drop sequence, though the track was green for some reason:p

When I mention the name of the ride to people when talking about BG, I still get a confused face and the reply "Ver-what?" or "Verboten? Like Forbidden in German?" Busch, you've got some 'splainin' to do...:D

RE: Verbolten

Generally all of it has been. We, of course, haven't posted everything (there's just too much) but what has been posted (the old 2012 thread has a good amount as well) gives a pretty good idea of what's happening. Basically, we have almost nothing as far as theming goes inside the event building.

Defending the side of the park, if they released every bit of info there was, only people who thought they would like it instead of getting a lot of people to come and try the ride out. The park makes more money the way they are doing it. Even Busch is not doing so well in this recession (hence the $2 raise in single day tickets over this past season)

RE: Verbolten

They should at least put out a teaser site with videos they have released, and the fact sheet they have released. They need to do something at some point.

RE: Verbolten

They sould at least rename the 2012 attraction page to verbolten!
Btw, the fact sheet is on the media page

Edit: here is the link www.buschgardensnews.com/bignews/110917_bgw_bignews/110917_BGW_Verbolten_factsheet.pdf

RE: Verbolten

But anything official comes from the media page... I went ahead and gave you the link

Btw, you would just have to google "verbolten fact sheet"

RE: Verbolten

I agree... But I don't think we will see a teaser site until January... They put the qr codes in the park so people who want info have to go into they park to find official info... Just another way to make money... Building a 50 million dollar coaster in a recession requires lots of ways to get money
