RE: Verbolten

Are the measures in mm? Also, guessing there will be a legitimate on-board photo? (Based on the part labeled camera in this photo)

RE: Verbolten

^ All the measurements are in millimeters and I believe that those cameras will be used to film you during the ride so you can buy a video of yourself afterwards (like on Volcano).

RE: Verbolten

^I actually edited my original post because I did mean millimeters, and that sounds like it will be pretty neat.

RE: Verbolten

I knew it I saw those pictures somewhere before... Thanks for this update anyways.

oooh, onride video cameras! The same thing that is also on Talon @ Dorney Park.

RE: Verbolten

It is usually pretty funny...you should have seen my one friend on Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studios...

RE: Verbolten

When my gf and I rode rrr you could see her saying "Oh, F$#&" when we start going vertical. The video is great for moments like that.

Thanks for posting the train details.

So going by those diagrams...

Rails are 150 mm (~6") diameter
Main running wheels are 250 mm diameter (about 10")
Guide wheels are 175 mm diameter (about 7")

I liked the reverse POV on-ride video camera on Volcano. It was fun making Tourettes/Downs Syndrome/Epilepsy faces during the ride! LOL

I'm pretty sure most of them were already out there. I'm trying to release everything we have sorted by what it is so repeats will happen.

By the way, if you think you may have missed any of the past ones, the first post is being continually updated with links.

RE: Verbolten

I was just going through things and realized that I don't think we ever released a full quality version of the Overall Site Plan- probably the single most important picture we have.

[REDACTED] (Warning: Huge picture)

Again, if you'd like to post this to another site or forum, ask me first. Do not embed or link to this picture directly.

RE: Verbolten

first, how exactly are those entry/exit tunnels working? i'm a little confused on those based on the site plan. and second, why do the plans show all five trains crammed into the station/holding brakes at once?

RE: Verbolten

the overall site plans show five trains in the station, holding brakes, and final brake run. that should never happen, so i'm just curious why they would do that.

RE: Verbolten

Just think about it. This whole project will be done around the 9th of February next year! Thats only 3 more months! Some outside track should already be installed according to the tentative schedule which may or may not be right on time. Im so hyped for this ride! Cant wait til Christmas Town to see the progress on this thing!

I'm guessing it's to show that it can be done. There are times when it's preferable to be able to have all the trains stopped in or near the station. Why evacuate a train in the event building when you can just walk people down the final brake catwalk?

RE: Verbolten

By the way it looks, the ride track is going to be finished by christmas time. weather permitting. I mean there already doing vertical construction from station to the event building and then they have all the other footers being poured which should be done in a month at most then vertical construction should take maybe 2-3 weeks around christmas time.

RE: Verbolten

At the rate they're going they could have the track for the Rhine Drop done before the year ends...

Oh, I know what he means... that's a reference to show how long the trains are.

RE: Verbolten

So does anyone know if they will have a Media Day for Verbolten construction like they did for the Griffon? I know the one for Griffon was mostly for the filming of Build it Bigger, but still, might they have one for Verbolten?
