RE: Verbolten

Just an FYI for those with Questions about the Intamin Looking Track from Zierer, the LSM Stators, and Wicked supposedly being a "Stengel" Creation, here are some Answers.

Zierer uses the same Sub Contractor as Intamin/Inta-Ride for their Track and Supports, so that is why the track looks like Intamin.

InTraSys GmbH supplies the LSM Stators/Motors and 2 Paralell LSM Motors allow the Train to get up to a Higher Speed in a shorter distance. I also hope BGW will utilize a Fly Wheel Inverter.

Wicked was designed in house by Lagoon's Park Engineer, Dal Freeman, who worked alongside Ron Toomer designing Magnum XL-200. Zierer sent the Design to Stengel before they would put their name on it.

RE: Verbolten

Thanks for the info! Ok, let me make sure I have this straight: Zierer is basically just the one tasked with putting everything together- not much of what they use is actually built in-house, correct? They use the same contractor as Intamin for the track and buy the LSMs from InTraSys GmbH, so that leaves Zierer with the trains?

RE: Verbolten

I've been following this thread for a while, and I just wanted to express how much I appreciate all this information. I can't think of any other project that we have this much access to the plans for. It's very exciting to watch come together.

I saw what they did at TPR. You shouldn't post in places that don't appreciate all your hard work IMO.

Thank you very much- it really does mean a lot. Chris and I have put a ton of time into getting these things out and what TPR just did was a huge slap in the face. Don't worry, they won't be getting anything else.

By the way, welcome to the forums!

RE: Verbolten

^I definitely agree with the whole slap in the face thing. I read that and my jaw quite literally dropped. You should try to ban any member who posts pictures (even with the bgwfans logo) there. They don't deserve the info. Plus, obviously they don't truly appreciate it.

RE: Verbolten

Wait.. woah, woah... So, what exactly happened?

(Yeah, that's me, the guy who won't rest until he finds details about bad things that happened!)

That's just playing their game. It's probably best to just move on and ignore it. If they don't want the info, it won't be shared with them. It's a shame that their members have to suffer because of it though. Hopefully they'll eventually catch on.

You can read it on their BGW thread.

Anyway, we should probably move the discussion back onto Verbolten and try to keep the controversy talk to a minimum. If you all want to talk about it, the Pointless Discussions thread in the General Discussions area is a good place to do so. Thanks.

RE: Verbolten

^I like the bold section. On that note, thanks for the requested bridge details! They are pretty awesome! I guess it doesn't ever hurt to ask!

One question I had about the bridge though... Is there going to be a collapsing section of the wood? It almost seems like there should be some type of bridge animation to this section. Any news or commentary from anyone?

By the way, there was a clever theory proposed by the only person to comment on the teaser video about the teaser series. It reads:
Okay, so here's how I'm thinking these teaser videos work: The previous one had a road sign visible at the end that indicated falling rocks. This episode had falling rocks. At the end of this video there was a sign with a car going into the water. So maybe next time one of these is released the car falls off a bridge?
Might we possibly see a hint at the bridge next time they release a teaser? My guess is yes.

I didn't see anything indicating that so my guess is no. It looks very cool nonetheless.

That's actually a very interesting find. Thanks for posting it.

RE: Verbolten

My guess would be Giovanola Frères SA (Giovanola Brothers, or just Giovanola), seeing how they're now supposedly jointly owned by B&M and Intamin, though this is the only thing that I found to back that up. It should also be noted that they (Giovanola) still has patents assigned to them, Intamin was know to have worked with Giovanola, and there is the fact that ALL Intamin Stand Ups look just like B&Ms (don't believe me, http://rcdb.com/r.htm?nm=na&ty=1&co=6837&de=7&ot=2). Also if you look around the webs as much as I did, you'll notice that they (Giovanola as a whole) went bankrupt, and are still being liquidated. All the info I dug up only mentions Giovanola's non-amusement assets being liquidated. My guess is that B&M and Intamin went and jointly purchased the amusement assets before they went bankrupt, leaving Giovanola as a shell or something. That's my guess though.

I never heard of the name of this company that fabricates Intamin track but I do know it is located in the Czech Republic.

RE: Verbolten

I thought the track was made in Ohio... but maybe that is just B&M coasters... oh well... Hey swift/chris, do you have any detailed pics of the launch(es) that you care to share? Thanks.

It's not Giovanola. That company has been out of business for years and haven't fabricated a roller coaster in a decade.

B&M uses a steel plant in Batavia, OH. Intamin has theirs fabricated in the Czech Republic and shipped over.

RE: Verbolten

Ok... Thanks for the clarification... BTW, doesn't the last video (the one with larry giles) say that "We just go a shipment of track from _____" (I can't remember what was said, and I can't look it up, as they use the same links)

The first launch picture can be found in this post (3rd picture). After Howl-O-Scream is over, we'll release more.

Shoot, I shouldn't have posted this.

I have redacted this post due to a temporary mental impairment , which should have been obvious due to the way it was worded and the lack of a tangible source.
