RE: Verbolten

Only one case concerning the EAS.
Would you make as a company thus your advertising if announced her detail to of a "world novelty" on a fair?

In my opinion not.
The advertising of Zierer was the last week in a big newspaper (Kirmes & Park Revue)

Questor, the Grover coasters are indeed Zeier, perhaps the people you spoke with meant that it is the first major project between Busch an Zeier? That's not at all meant to be a slight to the first two projects between the two but they were obviously smaller ventures.

Got it, I forget that this will be the 2nd Zierer in the park, and considering how much I love Grover at BGW (and I'm in my mid 20's) I should like Verbolten, right?:p

RE: Verbolten

Haha you should love it! I still haven't ever taken a ride on grover's coaster, my logic? My 6 month old is going to have me riding those sesame rides with her ad nauseum within the next few years so I may as well stay away while I can :p

Are you saying that they won't say anything at EAS about Verbolten because they are keeping it secret?

I don't expect them to, doesn't mean we can't ask!

I have a question, how do I pronounce zierer?

Well I loved it, I forget it's in the park since I'm way past the Sesame Street years.

I showed my niece and nephew the teaser video of Verbolten, who currently have only ridden Loch Ness and Big Bad Wolf in its final month. They will be 9 years old the month it opens, and exclaimed that it looks "awesome." I think they are certainly part of the age demographic the ride targets.

So we've only seen reason #43 not to drive through the Black Forest, I'd love to know the others asap :)

RE: Verbolten

Zierer (zeer-er... or is it ziii-rer... or ziiii-er-er)

I give them a lot of credit... They've made quite a few rides that Busch has in their park (Davinci's Cradle, the Wave Swinger and others) but I'm not sure if they actually built them.

It is a good thing that Zierer has built rides for BG before, albeit very small ones, but it's better having past experience with a company than starting a major project with a company you've never had experience with.

Totally off topic but... I look at that add and the name "Plopsaland" intrigued me. It's in Belgium and looks pretty cool esp. for kids from what I could see. Very colorful

RE: Verbolten

oooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh.....

Drop section I presume, or perhaps just a launch segment? Not entirely sure.

RE: Verbolten

Exactly what I thought Scout.

So this must be the drop track, where the train gets held by the brake until after the track drops (with whatever cinematic masterpiece to make it look that way). after the track drops I guess the brakes release and send the train on it's way via magnets.

Does anyone know how long the launch section is supposed to be? I'm sure to get the train to whatever speed is needed to get it to the bridge and the drop it must be a rather long launch track (maybe like 500 ft. I guess, not sure).

RE: Verbolten

Launch will be nowhere near 500 foot. That is ridiculously long for the speeds we are talking about.

What makes you think that is drop track? Unless I am blind I see nothing that could even remotely allow it to be the drop segment.

RE: Verbolten

I'm not really good with distance, but how fast is the train supposed to be going to get to the bridge?

I don't see anything that confirms it isn't related with the drop track either, maybe it could be a part of the first launch track where you stop before driving (I still don't know exactly where the first launch is). But why would they show the brake fins and the accelerator fins together like that? Is it just to show how everything fits on the track?
