RE: Verbolten

Ask them are there any projects stateside that they are currently working on that they are excited about, and if they would like to elaborate.

^ Perfect question! Good way to possibly gain some insight.

Also, ask them if there are any projects they are working on with an "Event Building," and if they've ever heard of Thirteen @ Alton Towers, and if they want this ride to be better than that, perhaps how they plan on doing so...:D

RE: Verbolten

Quite a building alright, the slab they've laid down is bigger than I thought it wouldve been. Definitely exciting to see it both in person and in the updates, thanks swift!

RE: Verbolten

Of course Zierer knows the roller coaster from Alton Towers!
Furthermore the technology will be different Quite completely!

RE: Verbolten

^lol!

Hajime, try your best to get some details about what is going to happen when you coast through the building, I doubt they'll talk but I would LOVE to hear details beyond what we have from the leaked drawings.

RE: Verbolten

Zierer will provide no information about "Verbolten" to you, because you are obliged to the secrecy!
At best they say you the dates which knows you anyhow becomes!
If Zierer the permission has information to the public spend, it is informed anyhow on the IAAPA in the USA!

RE: Verbolten

I expect no groundbreaking info from them, but it would be nice to know things like how they feel about working on such a large project, working with such a large company like Busch and do they see themselves working on similar projects in the future.

I think I'll ask them what they think they can better about Intamin's concept, too. It would be nice to know just how similar to Thriteen this is.

I think I'll ask them if they think this kind of technology which relies a lot on thematic content is going to be a big thing.

RE: Verbolten

I agree with Carter, he's taking a lot of time trying to discuss the coaster in a different language than his first. You get what's being said.

And yes, exclamation points seem to happen quite a bit with German to English translations.

First off, CarterGee has it right. Lay off the guy and be glad he's here no matter what his first language is.

HAJiME, could you ask a question along the lines of whether or not they think Verbolten is their "breakthrough" coaster to join in with the likes of B&M, Intamin, and MACK? Also, is there a way you could record it (video or audio)?

RE: Verbolten

It might also be neat to ask them about what challenges they see having with syncing all the special effects with the coaster itself and how they expect to keep such effects accurate over years of aging. At first thought it may seem like an easy thing to do but judging by the rapid decay of the darkastle effects, it clearly must be a challenge, especially with a faster ride like a coaster

RE: Verbolten

The fact that he's going out of his way to speak (or translate) into a foreign language so he can give us information on future rides earns my respect.

I'm going with CoasterForce, so you can expect a full write up and possibly video interviews, photos and such on there. I wil lmake sure to link you guys though.

That's a good question to ask, too!

I doubt Zierer have much to do with that tbh. Is Landmark doing the theming for this? Pretty sure Zierer are only responsible for the roller coaster hardware, everything else will be an assortment of other companies.

RE: Verbolten

Oh interesting, in that case maybe ask what relationship they have with said theming company if any? It would be interesting to know if they have to work with the theming company at all or if they simply design the coaster and the theming company works with what they are given after the fact.

RE: Verbolten

I agree with all of you, I did not intend to make the translator technicality an issue and we have messaged each other in private, my apologies for causing a riff.

Back on topic, quite a few people I've chatted with in person when told that Zierer is doing Verbolten were under the impression this is Busch's first time with them, but I believe it's actually the third time, is that correct? (Air Grover - BGT, Grover's Alpine Adv., and then Verbolten?)

RE: Verbolten

Questor, the Grover coasters are indeed Zeier, perhaps the people you spoke with meant that it is the first major project between Busch an Zeier? That's not at all meant to be a slight to the first two projects between the two but they were obviously smaller ventures.
