RE: Verbolten

Thanks, Swift! The boat shots are boss, like dolly shots.

Really like the blue train. Also, seeing this reminds me why Busch is my favorite park.
Not many places you can go ride a roller coaster with that setting and landscape. It'll
only get better with a few years of forest growth.

The green train just had a rollback going up to the drop. It's just sitting there. Also , the ride is 2 minutes long with 67 seconds spent in the building.

Now this is a useful post.

RE: Verbolten

Blackstone's other Zierer project apparently just opened giving us a hint at what V-bolt could be like.

Notes:
- This is more of a children's coaster than a family coaster. It still looks like fun though.
- The ride itself seems kinda sparse. Nothing on V-bolt's level of theming. I really with the park could add more theming.
- The rest of the ride after the drop seems a bit uninspired IMO. Drop itself looks about average for a coaster of that size.
- V-bolt is still the only launch coaster in the world with a drop track so no bickering about that. ;)

Back to V-bolt, the touch screens inside the video viewing area (next to the gift shop) are turned on. Work was being done in that area yesterday. The station is looking much more complete now. The forest is also beginning to take over the car out in front.

Still working on the (large) photo update, but here's the video in case the rest doesn't get done tonight.

Hint: Watch on YouTube for HD!

I just have to know....how many freakin boat trips did you take to get all those shots?

Good job!

RE: Verbolten

From what I could see, yellow train did not have any damage and all of the people in front of verbolten denied an accident with yellow train... Two girls even said that bgwfans fabricated the story and that you guys said that they told you the story when they did not... The only question now is "Who is lying?"

RE: Verbolten

Well...
1. You don't have ambulances and firetrucks onsite for nothing.
2. You don't just train employees running 4 trains on a 5 train coaster when there's nothing wrong with the 5th train.
3. If a fansite is reporting that a train crashed and it didn't, you'd run that train for everyone to see whenever you got the chance.
4. It crashed. Who do you want to believe? The "two weeks till Mach Tower opens" people or the people who gave you the reason why it wasn't opening. Take your pick.

Thanks! I went a total of five times in a row. The captains were really nice about it and actually turned the motors off completely next to the drop for me to get some of those shots.

RE: Verbolten

James City County should have some information on what their response was to the park, if there was an emergency there. We hear 911 recordings in the news all the time, if someone wants to know bad enough, maybe they should request a copy.

What possible reason does the park have for telling anyone their was an accident? Even if it was not the park's fault people just go away thinking "accident" if they admit it happened. I'm sure the yellow train looks fantastic from what you can see of it but do you find it odd that it happens to be the only train they haven't pulled out of the maintenance shop? Did they have a reason why that was?

The people in front of the ride are simply an extension of the marketing department, they aren't your friend. The information you get from them is a talking point. If you want an idea of the reliability of the people out front, the day the accident was reported, they were saying there was a minor incident, but now it was completely made up according to them. So, is the park lying or is the park lying?

TL;DR The park is lying.
