RE: Verbolten

I have no idea how Carter found it out, but I can confirm that there's black coaster track on site.

Yeah true, I'm surprised we didn't get anything in terms of track and support colours. I'm also deleting my last post.

RE: Verbolten

Why are there so many thinking the black track will only be in the building? I obviously don't know for sure, but what's the thinking there? Just disbelief that Busch would have a black track coaster? It's a car themed coaster, there aren't many red, yellow or green roads. The park doesn't need to comply with the JCC color restrictions since it's not visible.

RE: Verbolten

Who can actually name a black outdoor coaster? I can't. Anyone know the reasoning behind it?

Black Mamba

It only makes sense that the track would be black since, again, it's a road. My guess is that the train will be red. There were black and red flags up after the announcement in Oktoberfest. Also, BBW colors.

RE: Verbolten

I'm fancy Swift. Ninja Carter lives.

Let's just say that the track goes on a little drive from its resting spot before it reaches the construction site.

RE: Verbolten

Carter, I am sure you just caused park security to pause and look for lapse in their protocol. And then they breathed a sigh of relief.

RE: Verbolten

Not sure if fading black is any more noticeable than fading yellow or red though.

RE: Verbolten

If you have seen a batman coaster you can get tell that the fading gets pretty nasty after 10-12 years, but it is still better than yellow (which lasts like 7 years) and red (closer to 6 years). Personally I like the black/somewhatblack/borderlinegray, it shows that they are taking the autobahn themeing seriously instead of a cartoonic road colour like yellow or blue.

Saw art with yellow and art with green.

What kinds of color restrictions does the county impose? I kind of like the idea of black. I don't think SWP&E will let the ride go 10-12 years without a fresh coat of paint. They maintain their rides unlike 6Flags.

The restriction is anything over 60 feet has to blend with the sky. The park has to get waivers for anything over that height. Don't know if they even had to apply for the waiver here since it's not visible. If they did, it was a formality.

Is that why Mach Tower is blue? I can't see how they can get any ride to blend in with the ride. Dunno if its similar to Alton Towers "nothing taller than the tree line" thing, except they've gotten exceptions.
