RE: Verbolten

Anyone sit in the test seat yet? The white walls were pushed back and I got to sit in it for the first time on Thursday.

It's comfier than Mach, but not as comfy as the B&Ms. There's the usual bump in the middle, but instead of being round, it's pointed making it a bit odd to sit in. Probably something you wouldn't want to slam your butt down in.

Is that waterfall going to be restored? It kinda looked like it was being fixed up

I was wondering the same thing the other day. Looks like it could be or its a very fancy runoff area.

RE: Verbolten

Everything is there and when the plants grow back in, it will look nice but if they started usin it now, it would look weird with water coming from these pipes.

RE: Verbolten

This isn't really about Verbolten, but if anyone was wondering why the park is so crowded it's because of Spring Break for some and Music in the Parks (an event held by Bruton High School at the school, for middle schoolers). The Music in the Parks thing is one of those events where tons of middle school students come from around the state/surrounding states for band related stuff, then pretty much all go to Busch. It's going to be packed with middle school kids this weekend...

RE: Verbolten

Some pics I took today. The car is pretty cool. I apologize for the pics of the photo booth, the camera was having issues focusing with the sun, but it was open and I wanted to get a pic of the sign.

........omg.

No. Guests will NOT be the absolute first to ride. Anyone with any knowledge of roller coasters' openings know that the park executives and the ride's engeniers are the first to ride. It would make no sense at all to ever put the guests on the ride first. Remember Cheetah Hunt's opening? Executives rode first with the people who designed the ride. Busch has always done this and it's standard practices for other parks as well (Six Flags (KingdaKa), Cedar Fair (Millenium Force), etc). If there is an employee ride night it would be similar to an ERT.

I don't mean to call you out like that Party Rocker, but it's your "absolute" assertion that rubbed me the wrong way. :)

Agree with you 100%. Media will for sure be riding before park guests unless they decide to soft open the ride. Media day is the 17th.

Oh sorry, thats just the the angle I took the picture at. It conceals the track. Here is another angle so you can see the curve.

RE: Verbolten

Could you start a thread in the NoLimits board? Don't really want to let this thread derail. Thanks!
