I've seen this presented on some announcements as a ride, some as an experience... what do we think? I'm leaning towards ride replacing Spiderman.
Also... "coming to US parks" could that mean Lost Continent? Or somewhere in Epic??

USJ: Spider-Man replacement, said to reuse some track but with different vehicles (although I wonder if this is mostly the maintenance bay/split loading track the USJ version had, and not much else (the show scenes were built for larger projectors than are needed today with digital projectors and LED walls, etc).
Possibly stand-alone in NYC similar to how Spider-Man was, minus a photo op... although their Finnegan's did permanently close last year, so this could be a soft makeover for their whole NYC area, and they still have the T2:3D space to work with, so maybe it turns into some other location? There's not much here right now besides food and shopping. That's my speculation, though - there are a lot of walls up at the moment (see below) but that doesn't mean things are changing drastically.
IOA: Lost Continent replacement? Potentially a different theme than USJ is getting, maybe more of a tropical resort vibe? At least that is the rumor, no telling if Mythos ends up staying or changing. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a unique area and does not have the same ride as USJ.

T2 was replaced by a permanent Detective Conan show. Backdraft was meanwhile replaced by Villain-Con Minion Blast.
Earlier this month scaffolding went up around the old Spiderman queue after two years of no visible outdoors progress. Knowing Japan there is probably already a nearly-completed full scale Pokémon dark ride indoors. They've been doing the meet'n'greets and characters for a few years now so this is definitely an attraction, and a major one at that.

I’m aware but this is more like an overlay. It could be changed in the future. It’s basically a 4D theater and could be used for a “battle arena” concept that’s been floating around as a rumor.
